Frimley Lodge Motel

Reception was friendly and quick. Room very clean and quiet.

The Frimley Lodge is an older motel with limited facilities, eg. luggage had to be placed on the floor, one single worn out chair only The Frimley has a pool though. The motel is on a main road, there is some traffic noise . Otherwise not a bad place to stay !

Because Wotif screwed up on my booking, confirming a room when in fact none were available...

Had a proper fridge and cooker. Swimming pool right outside our door. Good price.

- Even in a unit farthest from the road it was quite noisy. Needs modernising and regardless of price most people require a clean room. It wasn't clean.

The motel was well positioned for our purposes. We were well received by the person on duty when we arrived. We were very grateful for the room as it was the last one available in that part of the city, seeing it was a public holiday weekend.
However the room we experienced was not what we saw pictured on line - obviously a photo-shop job. The actual room was clean on the surfaces but dirty in the corners. Light shades were dirty. The bathroom window sill was rotten at both ends. There was no shower curtain.
There was no tea towel to wipe dry the dishes - we were there for an evening meal and breakfast.. Overall, it was a very tired unit needing some loving attention.

I liked my stay at Frimley motel, it was relaxing. Room was nice, beds were comfortable. The extra fans provided in the rooms were wonderful as it was a very hot night.
Only thing I would suggest would be information booklets in the rooms, for how to use tv, phone etc. also something to let us know that the pool is quiet deep. My kids got a bit of a fright when they couldn’t touch the bottom.

All Kids in a group loved pool. rooms were decent size, perfect location for doing most things in Hawkes Bay.

The manager was very obliging when we asked to check in early.
Unfortunately we were located next to the pool and a group of people were having a bbq and drinking making noise till late. Then the guests staying on the other side of us were drinking and making alot of noise through to 5am. Needless to say we did not get any restful sleep and got up and left for our drive home at 7am

Place was great, very friendly staff, my daughter loved the pool, would recommend.

The kids just love the on site pool.
Also the staff are nice and friendly.

Reasonable price, clean, tidy, comfortable. Could use an upgrade in terms of shower head and towels. Would be nice if neighbours didn’t blast their music at 7am but otherwise good value

As stated is basic type of Hotel but clean and could not really find any faults. Priced accordingly

Overall good well presented but did not like the shower drainage also tv program was ghosted specially after prime onwards

This was a gem of a find. Good, clean rooms, decent facilities and friendly management. We ended up extending our original stay.

Good parking. Good location close to shops, cafes, fast food outlets, petrol stations etc. Unsophisticated but clean, comfortable, plenty of hot water in shower, tea/coffee/instant hot choc provided together with basic crockery, utensils, a toaster and electric jug and microwave provided in room.

Great staff, handy location! Good price. All amenities you need.

Disappointed with towels supplied, too worn so not useful for drying. Room very clean but needs maintenance done. External environment could do with a general tidy up.

Everything was clean and for us travelling quite a bit on this trip simple things like a toaster and microwave in the unit were excellent

Never made beds,no fire extinguisher, no soap small milk carton for 2 days
