Uncomfortable stay update needed
Pros:

The building and surrounding gardens were lovely but could do with an update.

Cons:

The beds were extremely lumpy and hard. The pillows weren't much better. The restaurant was not open, the bar closed at 5.30pm.

It was very Comfortable, clean and inviting.

The Grand Oaks was so close to town, the rooms were so clean and comfortable, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the history of the oaks and its surroundings is amazing.

Good accommodation option in lovely surroundings
Pros:

The area is beautiful and close to town. The hotel has a lovely ambience. The continental breakfast was great and good value for money.

Cons:

The window, particularly the windowsill, was filthy. The TV was very awkward to use. The room servicing was inconsistent. I stayed 4 days and some days the bed was fully made up and others it was partially made up. The tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were not replenished the entire time I was there. The restaurant didn't open on our first night but when it did, 4 of us were not welcome to eat there as the chef was new and the bookings were extremely limited despite mostly empty tables!
