Great looks but disappointing on a lot of points of guest comfort.
Pros:

Lovely heritage building in the centre of town with a beautiful courtyard garden.

Cons:

The hotel was too noisy for us to sleep on both nights of our stay. We felt unsafe with the windows open as a communal veranda and stairs surrounded our room so we had to take all our valuables out with us. There was no safe box and reception was unmanned in the evening so guest security was very lax.

Sehr schönes historisches Hotel, sehr empfehlenswert, super sauber, schöne Bar im Haus Wineries zu Fuß erreichbar, sehr nette Besitzer. Super süßer kleiner Ort, schönes Zimmer und Bad, nostalgisch, mit Balkon

Almost perfect.
Pros:

This hotel is absolutely beautiful and prefect in every way, I would have given it a 10, except....... it's really noisy. To be faire they supply earplugs, but yeah, nah.

Das Hotel liegt zentral am Square mitten in Martinborough. Von hier aus kann man alles super erreichen. Weingüter, Golfclub, Restaurants, Supermarkt.

Classic, romantic place to stay for a Martinborough mini-break
Pros:

Lovely heritage room attached to the hotel. The meal at the hotel restaurant that night was great.

Cons:

Unfortunately, through no fault of the hotel's, we had no power in the morning due to weather conditions in the region. Fortunately we were still able to have a hot shower. While the heritage rooms look great, the old sash windows aren't double glazed so the road noise can be quite loud.

Disappointed that the room and facilities were not as we had understood from the description.
Pros:

Location, style of the property and attached bistro

Cons:

Room advertised as a “suite” accessing a “private” garden. However it was only a room with bathroom (not a suite) and the garden was only the general garden of the hotel - there was no private space associated with the room. The WiFi was very poor and the TV didn’t load properly. We mentioned a number of issues to various staff members but while each was sympathetic they offered no compensation against the costs of this expensive room.

Wunderschönes Hotel im malerischen Martinborough
Pros:

Ein bezauberndes Boutique Hotel im beschaulichen Martinborough. Das Zimmer war geräumig und individuell sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.

Cons:

Das Zimmer war im 2. Stock. Da das Hotel nicht über einen Aufzug verfügt, wäre Hilfe fürs Gepäck wünschenswert gewesen.
