Being on the square obviously makes this location ideal for walking or cycling to most of the wineries.
We were there on a Sunday to Tuesday, so a lot of the wineries, restaurants and bars were closed on the Monday/Monday night. Not the fault of the Hotel obvs, but something to remember in rural NZ.
Most venues open Wednesday afternoon through to Sunday evening.
The louvred door between the bedroom and the bathroom only provides visual privacy, if you catch my drift...
Martinborough Hotel in middle of town square, dinning, shopping and imbibing within walking distance.
