Beautiful old hotel, exceeded our expectations
Pros:

Beautiful old hotel, great facilities, so nice having Ashley & Co toiletries supplied - a very nice touch, very friendly and helpful staff, excellent restaurant on site, we had our rooms upgraded which was wonderful

Relaxing one night get away
Pros:

We had a lovely room with a comfy bed and bathtub, and we enjoyed our dinner at the hotel restaurant. Also enjoyed reading in front of the fireplace.

Wouldnt stay again!
Pros:

Nice receptionist on check in. Different one on check out who was a bit dismissive about us being cold in the room, although she did say sorry about that after her dismissive comment.

Cons:

The room was freezing when we arrived and even at full the electric heater barely heated the room. Lack of carpeting or rugs didnt help. The bathroom was so cold we didnt want to use the shower. Also the badly fitting double shutter doors to the (in the corner of the room) ensuite didnt provide basic privacy for using the bathroom. It was a frosty morning but decent heating is a must in a hotel room. Also noise from hallway and other rooms not pleasant - again lack of soft flooring meant this was amplified.

Beautiful accommodation in the centre of a small lovely town. Good lady check-in was very nice and showed us to our room and all the facilities available to us which was very kind of her. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable.

A great hotel
Pros:

Loved the location on the square and the rooms were great with a nice balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very helpful including moving our booking after storm delayed our arrival.
