Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions.
A security deposit/refundable bond of NZD 250 is required upon arrival. This will be collected by credit card/debit card. It can also be paid in cash only if you intend to arrive and depart within the reception opening hours. You should be reimbursed in full within 7 days of check out subject to return of the key and inspection of the room.
The property's reception opening hours are:

On public holidays:

If you are arriving after 6:00 you will need to complete the pre-check-in process which will be emailed to you approximately 48 hours prior to your arrival. Once this has been received; we will either email or text you our late arrival details before we close the reception.

The size of the room was great.
No black out curtains and lack of power plugs, plus, no plunger coffee.
The location was great, the room was a great size.
The curtains are very light and didn't stop the lights coming through them at night.
The first night there I was unable to use the internet as the password for the internet had been crossed out and was not legiable.
The reception hours are very short and the after hours on the phone in the room does not work.
Lovely staff. Great deal with last minute discount. The executive suite was huge, and very much exceeded my expectations. Very comfortable bed, clean and tidy. Excellent location. I. Highly recommend staying here!

Location was great. The Manager? was lovely. I locked the key in the room soon after arrival and she was lovely accommodating let us into the room again. Also she let us check in early.
When we arrived we didnt realize reception would be closed and the only communication was with an A1 generated response. Also, probably our error, but we did not realize we would have to pay $250 bond. This was credited back to us after 2 days but I was concerned about it.
Very peaceful during our stay. Love the beach view and hearing the waves at night.

The towels are SO thin.
Great question...
Probably one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Untouched for decades, its drab and dark with a distinctly beige early 90's feel. Even plastic plants in the rooms. It's noisy, due to being on a local bogan drag circuit, and its full of officious notices about what you can and can't do. Don't leave rubbish in your room or you'll be "fined" , don't leave any dishes to wash or you'll be "fined", don't park in the wrong place or they will tow you etc etc. Note also they take a $250 bond off your card at check-in, and it takes a few days to be returned after check-out. And make sure you book a room on the higher floors as, despite the photos, that's not what you get initially. All in all, there are WAY better options at the Mount.
Great location
Property was completely inflexible to change requirements despite it being weeks out from staying. Very dated rooms. The vent in the bathroom was filthy - it had not been cleaned for years.
The staff were so helpful and friendly, we were able to book in early. Easy to check in and out, free car park was a bonus, apartment had everything we needed
