Smell in the begging
The location was good as was the price
Unfortunately for the duration of my stay there were cockroaches throughout the apartment. A few of the sheets on the beds were not properly cleaned and there was a bunch of old/opened food left in the pantry (not sure if this was from a previous guest or intended for our use).
There is nothing to like about this property apart from its location.
Unfortunately, the condition of the accommodation is extremely poor and completely unacceptable, especially considering the high price I paid.
There are cockroaches throughout the property, including the kitchen, bedroom, and living area. In addition, the kitchen utensils provided are dirty and unhygienic, making them unsafe to use. The bathroom towels also has visible dirt.
The carpet is also in a terrible state and was visibly dirty, with dead cockroaches present. Overall, the property is in the worst condition I have ever experienced during a stay.

I like the stuff pretty good But every night when went to the unit cockroach everywhere. And also I didn’t see any notes regarding the bond hold bond money $250 lady in the recipient said will take 14 days to clear in my account. Sydney is only a $1 bond
I liked the views and location
The ensuite shower was filthy.
Mirror wall in the lounge was grubby, too. The place could do with a professional clean.
There was no spare toilet paper, and we stayed for 3 nights.
The TV in the lounge didn't work.

The Check-in: Smooth, easy, and hassle-free.
The Room Size: Upon receiving the keys and entering our apartment, we were initially pleased with the size. However, this happiness was short-lived.
The Problems:
1. Air Conditioner: There was only one air conditioner in the entire apartment, located in the living area. While I understand that the property does not advertise air conditioning in every room, they also fail to mention that the air conditioners are non-functional and serve only as display units.
Since their front desk was closed, we called the emergency line to report the faulty air conditioner, but nobody answered. We then reached out to our travel company, Booking.com, requesting that they either escalate the issue to the apartment management or arrange a room change. Unfortunately, Booking.com did nothing and kept directing us to the apartment's after-hours number to handle the matter ourselves. I never expected this lack of support from them.
After approximately five hours, the apartment finally answered and sent a technician at 10:30 PM (we first reported the issue at 5:15 PM). The technician did not resolve the problem and stated that the room was cool enough not to use the air conditioner. He mentioned that if we felt hot during the day, they would look into it later.
The night temperature was 27 degrees Celsius (81 degrees Fahrenheit), while the daytime temperature reached 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Yet, they expected us not to turn on the air conditioning.
We spent the entire night speaking with different representatives at Booking.com, explaining our ordeal and requesting a room change, but their team leaders and social media team dismissed our requests. The following morning, we escalated the issue to the apartment management, who promised to fix it. They replaced the damaged air conditioning switch, allowing it to work properly (see attached photos).
2. Cleaning & Hygiene: Another significant complaint we raised right after check-in involved spider webs near the bed, dirty fans that blew dust when turned on, stained bed sheets, and cockroaches found inside the blanket (see attached pictures).
Location is great.
We were very disappointed with our stay at Focus Apartments. Upon arrival, the apartment was clearly not clean. The bathroom walls were covered in grime, the bedframe had nasty white stains, just overall not clean and there was even old, spoiled food left in the kitchen.
Cleaners were sent the following day, which was very inconvenient during our short three-night stay, and unfortunately the issues were not fully resolved. The bathroom wall in of one bathrooms was still dirty even after they left.
When I contacted customer service and sent the photos of the condition, the situation was just downplayed with the response, “I apologize you found the apartment a little dusty.” This response honestly felt almost mocking.
Would not recommend.
