Well located close to Central station. The hotel is convenient and clean with amenities such as a kitchenette, microwave and gym/pool facilities. The place is a bit dated but overall good value for the price paid
People screaming after midnight
The location was great however the room and hotel itself was incredibly rundown and was no where near the condition of the photos.
There were stains on the curtains, dust built up on surfaces and paint peeling off the walls.
Quite disappointing because in the pictures it looks like a nice place
We chose The Ridge Apartments as we needed a kitchenette and a decent price for parking. I read the previous reviews and still decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did.
Pros:
- has everything you need in the studio apartment;
- comfortable bed;
- hot showers;
- great pool;
- well equipped gym;
- good prices for parking;
- easy location to walk to city, Roma Street Parklands and/or to use public transport;
- very friendly and helpful staff;
- great prices- if you find a better deal elsewhere try to price match.
Cons:
- it is older and dated but you get what you pay for;
- can be a little noisy if you're on Leichhardt street
Negatives - mostly everything, the rooms were outdated and dirty and the whole place is terribly run down. The room I was in did not resemble the photos that are on this site. The building may have been great in the 70’s but it seems that very little has been done to the place since then. If I had paid less than $100 a night I may not have been disappointed, while it was on the cheaper side there are plenty of other places I could have stayed for the same price.
Positives - Staff were helpful allowed me to park there for a little longer, Gym had new equipment.
Perfect location to CBD. Classic building with great gym and pool.
Friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance into the city and the station
Good receptionist
Furnishings out dated and new renewing,dirty vents full of fluff n dust no toaster etc
We booked for two adults and a 7-year-old child, paying an extra $30 for a trundle bed. Since reception closes at 3pm, after-hours check-in required a call but was straightforward. On arrival, there was no extra bed for our child. Support placed us on hold twice to contact the main office and ultimately said no additional bed or refund would be given, as our booking supposedly listed only two guests. After an uncomfortable night with little sleep before our charity half marathon, we checked out before reception opened the next morning.
Accommodation is not Rydges. Its Ridges and the standards are very different. Outdated, in need of maintenance and a deep clean.
Light fixture don’t work or missing, witness dog peeing in elevator, stains on furniture, walls, linen (black marks). Tiles cracked in bathroom and vanity missing draw front, washing drier not working well, washing machine has old washing liquid sachet in seal, Mould under kitchen high cabinets, rotting wood in the corner of the lounge. Certainly not value for money when they call it a 2 bed room executive appartment.
As the name Ridgeapartments. The hotel is at the very top of steep hills. This would not be suitable for people who struggle walking.
Good for short business trips. Central to CBD. Steps to reach the lobby. Elevators are available to reach rooms.
Friendly staff, very accommodating to needs during our stay
Nice little hotel at the top of the hill.
Great location. Clean and practical appartments.
The place is old, dirty, rooms in poor condition
Booked for 2 nights for a business trip.
I rented a run down apartment. Blinds didn't close, shower was bad. No bed lamps, poor bed
the whole property is large and price is reasonable.
