For a place of quiet contemplation and time out this is the place to stay.
Pros:

The location was so central. Walking distance to restaurant’s. The convent was wonderful with well appointed guest lounge and dining room. What a privelege to be able to stay and be immersed in an historic building that has been beautifully curated.
The room was newly renovated and very stylish.
The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough for us.

Cons:

Nothing , it was perfect .

Was not a pleasant stay considering how much we paid
Pros:

Very old and the rooms were tiny. Nothing like the photo.
( The bed was comfy but small) for the price was not value for money.

Convienient location and met our needs for the night.
Pros:

Friendly staff .Breakfast was just ok .Could have had a better selection. we have stayed at this property many times and there was a more extensive variety in the past.
The Bar was open in the past and they used to serve canapes .
Room was small but comfortable and warm

Cons:

Could have had more selection in mini bar .Also Reception closed at 6pm so I couldn't access additional Green tea.
The remote was faulty -difficult to change channels on TV and we couldn't switch it off -so had to turn off at the power point!!

Disappointing from last visit ten years ago. Spoilt my 70th birthday, thought it was going to be a luxurious weekend, it
Pros:

The location is great, the gardens beautiful. Breakfast was nice, staff pleasant.

Cons:

Our room hadn’t been dusted or vacuumed properly. The room, furniture chipped & seen better days. The pillows were so thin and no pillow protection covers. The bathroom was so old, cracked floor tiles, disgusting stains next to toilet. The shower had mould and was hard to get in and out of. No tissues, no toilet brush. Even public areas Eg lounge area needed dusting. Chipped or peeling paint inside and outside . Poorly maintained.

Ok not but not special
Pros:

Lovely old building

Cons:

The food at breakfast was very nice. The coffee was very ordinary. Would have liked to watch the French Open tennis but the TV did not pickup CH9 and was an old fashioned free to air only TV. It’s always a bit disappointing when you go on a “luxury” escape and the facilities are less than you have at home.

This was a decent stay, with a comfortable room but a little overpriced.
Pros:

The Convent was an overnight stay for me to attend work the next day. We took our dog and the Convent was very accommodating of him. The breakfast was good. We went to a local pub for dinner.

Cons:

They charged us an extra $180 for a room to accommodate our dog and another
$100 to bring the dog. This was for a ground floor room with a rather small dog bed and a bowl. I accept the cost of the garden room, but I thought the $100 for the dog was excessive. I don't usually travel with a dog so it might be for extra carpet cleaning, I don't know.

Very pleasant stay, Hunter Valley.
Pros:

Very clean throughout, very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, very relaxing place to spend a while. Good place from which to visit local vineyards (bus will pick you up from hotel so you can enjoy wine tastings). The building is actually an old wooden-structured convent which was relocated from elsewhere and reassembled - very interesting story, details displayed at hotel. Marvellous spot.

Cons:

No complaints

Lovely place. Worth a visit.
Pros:

A very cute hotel in the Hunter Valley. Really nice that it has Peppertree Wines on its estate as well as the Circa Restaurant. Room was Very comfortable although a little tired.

Cons:

There was often a nasty smell when walking in the grounds, possibly something to do with the wine making but not sure.

Pros:

Lovely hotel with gorgeous decor and surrounds. Bathroom is very large and access to balcony is lovely at the front of the property.

Cons:

The bed was a little hard and could be better if king-sized.
