We didn’t receive the email about how to check in because we were late check in to the apartment. When we arrived the apartment then we had to call the emergency number to the staff to solve it.
Since we lived there for 2 nights, the second night we couldn’t use the card key to get in the apartment. Luckily the guest helped us for the entire door but couldn’t get in our room. So we had to call the staff again. It totally cost us around AU$20 for the telephone fee.
Also, two nights couldn’t connect the wifi and the staff said we should call the other staff to solve it. I haven’t never seen like such bad apartment.
Best views and location for best price felt right at home
Had to dispose of food due to bugs in Kitchen also in bathroom - check-in was stressful as I was belittled by unsmiling reception man due to not having correct ID - he relinquished saying "he was putting his job on the line for me but he'll do it just this once in future I should carry correct ID" - ridiculous as in my late 60s carrying digital ID and travelling alone I didnt really pose a threat and my room was already paid for - duty managers name on board was Reese
Likes:
It is in the City. Good to stay as we needed to move around in the city that week. I had 4 kids with me and it was good to have the pool for them on a 38deg summer day.
Dislikes:
Poor condition of apartment.
Boiling kettle leaked at the spout.
Electric stove working poorly that it took 30mins for it to heat up the pan to cook pancakes for breakfast for the kids.
The on and off sign on the electric stove can no longer be seen.
Kitchen knife is blunt.
Aircon is in the living room only and not positioned well. It cooled the living room but the bedrooms was still hot and stuffy. So the living room ended being freezing cold for the bedroom to be nice and cool to be in.
Close to free transport into the city and plenty of local dining options.
Great location, property a bit run down
I liked that I could change room allocated due to limited mobility, so the like would be that staff were helpful. However, the unit was very dirty. Won’t stay again.
Lady at reception wasnt no help at all. Telling to me to go and get money out. Mangaed to in the end came back for our room and they were closed. Im very upset she didnt even say they were closing the reception
I could not even sit on a chair , the whole place was filthy, i was there the whole of ten minutes and walked out.
Infested in cockroaches
Needed to climb stairs . Lift stops at 5th floor. All else good. No milk, arrived very late. Coffee and tea only.
Unsafe and Unacceptable Experience
My family and I stayed at Mont Clare Boutique Apartments on the night of 10th-11th November, and our experience was absolutely unacceptable. At 2:00 a.m., the overnight manager allowed three intoxicated strangers access to our room. This was not only a shocking breach of security but also an incredibly distressing experience, especially as we had our two-year-old daughter with us.
What made the situation worse was the manager’s indifference. Instead of addressing the issue or prioritizing our safety, they merely questioned the trespassers about how they entered the building and walked away, leaving us feeling completely vulnerable. We were unable to sleep for the rest of the night and felt unsafe throughout our stay.
I have since reached out to the hotel to address this matter and request compensation, but they have failed to respond. This lack of accountability and care is extremely disappointing.
I cannot recommend Mont Clare Boutique Apartments to anyone, especially families. Security and guest safety should be a priority, and our experience made it clear that it is not.
Rooms are dirty and there’s cockroaches.
I was not even able to use my booking.
Deposit was excessive.
Very very unhelpful. Need a full refund.
Would never use again.
The shower screen door was broken, the soap holder needs tightening up, balcony screen door needs repair. Maybe more bowls.
We stayed at Mont Clare Boutique Apartments for one night, and it was one night too many. The check in was easy enough but that’s where the positivity stops.
- There were exposed fixings in the floor, which was incredibly dangerous considering we were travelling with two young children.
- The mould throughout the bathroom was disgusting and showed how poorly maintained the rooms were.
- Everything about the apartment was dated.
- There was exposed metal corner angle in the kitchen.
- The TV did not work
- The wifi reception didn’t extend to the bedrooms
- The lift felt unsafe as it shuddered to each floor.
- When trying to go to sleep, footsteps could be heard (from what sounded like the apartment below).
- The drier door kept popping open, and the drier made our clothes wetter
- There were no power outlets in the main bedroom
- The paperwork from a previous guest was in the apartment which evidenced the poor cleaning between guests.
If you are considering staying at Mont Clare, don’t.
The 2bed/1bath apartment was full of dozens of huge moths when we arrived, there was a used bandaid on the dining table, the dishwasher was broken, one of the towels had a huge black grease stain, there were no power points in the main bedroom and the only lamp in the entire apartment was a tiny one in the small bedroom. The overall feel of the apartment was tired & uncomfortable. The beds themselves were extremely hard but the sheets & pillows appeared clean. The pool area in the carpark had no chairs of any kind to sit around the pool. This area of the east CBD also isn’t particularly nice to stay in over the weekend (not the hotel’s fault). Communication with the hotel is infuriating, phone hold times are long and emails don’t get responded to. The only good thing was the guy at the front desk who was very helpful & resourceful.
Property very outdated and old.
Simple things like bedside lights not provided as light switches are outside the rooms. TV the size of a laptop screen, in need of a refurb, things hanging off railings. If you want something Cheapish and nasty close to city its ok.
Not allowed to park additional cars had seven guests staying three vehicles in total only allowed to park one car in the secure carpark offered to pay for extra parking was denied this request had to park extra vehicles in public car parks away from the venue.
the property is disgusting, the toilet door dosent open property, we couldnt open the dishwasher, its a disgrace
The only thing I liked was its central location to my needs.
