Great location and one of the female members of staff was lovely
- The after hours/emergency phone call line didn’t work, we were stuck outside for about half an hour trying to contact staff via the intercom as well as private phone numbers to be let in to the building. We advised our arrival time and arrived on time, we were outside until just after 10pm.
- Door to the room didn’t lock, this wasn’t picked up by staff before our check in so we had to sleep in an unlocked room overnight
- Rooms were unclean and bedsheets were ripped, couches and rugs were stained and appeared mouldy. Shower was mouldy and smelt as such. The mugs weren’t clean either.
- The aircon units were SO loud and didn’t work in the second bedroom, we were told on our second day that all the apartments sounded the same but this wasn’t advised anywhere during booking.
- Pretty disappointing customer service, we had to request a room change due to the safety and security concerns around a door not locking and were moved to a second room that met the same standards as above. The next interaction with staff was being questioned around our wait times getting in to the building, rather than being offered an explanation or apology for the long waits (especially considering that the number provided is the emergency call line), the staff stated that they only had a record of two phone calls during the times we were outside. We were buzzing via intercom every few minutes, calling from two phone numbers as well as emailing and messaging via booking.com to try to get in touch with someone, especially concerning as it was quite late at night and we were left outside the building entirely.
All in all, I wouldn’t bother with this accomodation. While in a great location, we had extensive concerns around security and safety as well as the escalation processes for emergencies. We absolutely can deal with some of the more ‘minor’ inconveniences, but tenants safety should be a far higher priority.
Staff atvreception very helpfil
Will discuss with apartments directly
Very good location. Unit was a good size. Everything you need.
The hallway / elevator corridors always seem to smell in these unit blocks - gag worthy. Need better ventilation/ cleaning / air fresheners.
Great location. Amazing receiption team, thank you for your service and support.
Proximity to shops and restaurants. Apartment was huge and very clean. Large balcony a bonus.
Nothing.
Staff are exceptional.friendly and so helpful. They speak so nicely to all the guests i heard them interact with. Their front of house friendliness make a huge difference to your stay- thankyou team 😊
Coke and water for purchase in reception is very convenient.
Location is terrific, absolutely perfect
2 bathrooms made it so comfortable.
Lovely MOR branded toiletries. Rooms are clean.
No party policy appealing
Foyer smells great on entry
Beds were perfect.
The room was very damaged and the hot water in the bath tub was dangerously around the wrong way. Someone is going to be scalded using the bathtub. Either the Seeing impaired or a child with an adult drawing a bath for an infant. Illegal in Australia under PCA. ? Fairly sure without looking it up.
You cannot open the dryer door completely and you cant get the ironing board out because the laundry door and dryer are permanently in the way.
The air conditioning was on but you can barely feel it. The AC is VERY noisy in the cupboard during the night.
This room looked like it had been purely reserved for domestic altercations. Every wall in the unit has been damaged and noticably patched. There are no block out curtains in the lounge room so the units can look in on you across the way and it makes watching the television difficult with the afternoon sun. Halls and lifts have no AC. Just makes your wait for the lift uncomfortable when its hot.
Homeless sleeping in the entry way this morning ( no fault of the establishment )
This was advertised as a 4 star hotel. I feel a little let down but we still enjoyed ourselves.
At this time there is construction of the albert street station which is a little noisy all hours so the doors have to stay mostly closed BUT what a location once complete!
Again the construction is no fault of the establishment and not really a bother as you are in the city and expect some level of noise.
So the two beautiful staff who checked me in and out they helped me beyond words in the hard time I was going through and I’ll appreciated that forever you guys are incredible human beings Thankyou both for so much
An absolutely fantastic place to stay, close to everything and quiet as well.
Definitely recommend if you are staying in Brisbane and the staff are very friendly.
Nothing.
Unit was very rundown. The cleanliness was poor. There was a piece of food left under the tv cabinet. The tv did not work. Would not stay again.
