I was dissapointed with Mantra Castle Hill, previously could not get a booking so assumed it must be good?
Pros:

Great location. Nice sized rooms.

Cons:

Furnishings and fittings are aged. Missing basic kitchen items. Cleaning not up to expected standard of Mantra branded hotel.

Bit of bad odour from the carpets at times
Can be a bit cheaper for this condition. $2200 for five night for family in this building is bit expensive.
$1500 to 1750 would have been ideal or fair call

Pros:

Office staff were very polite and was easy to work .

Cons:

Find this property was really hard ,even we got navigation.
Our room was very basics . We got two people but only one champagne glass and one wine glass .
Hairdryer was broken .
Room need good cleaning and renovation.

Have stayed before, but won’t be returning.
Pros:

Staff followed up with me when I let them know of the poor housekeeping I had, to make sure it had being improved after my request down at reception.

Cons:

Kitchenette was not fully equipped (no normal glasses, only champagne glasses and 2 small mugs for drinks).

Towels left on floor not replaced.

Housekeeping and reception calls were not answered when tried.

Expensive relative to its quality
Pros:

Location was reasonably convenient for my work purposes and had free undercover parking. Windows opened.

Cons:

The room was expensive relative to its quality, and there was an unexplained discrepancy between the price I paid for a double room ($255) and the price my colleague paid for a larger room with a separate bedroom ($190). When my colleague booked and got a lower price, I looked at rebooking through Booking.com and directly through Accor, but couldn't access the same rate. When this was brought up at the property, they were unable to provide an explanation.

The mattress was thin and had no mattress protector. Curtains didn't close properly in the middle and there was a big gap under the door that let a lot of light in. Fridge needed cleaning. Aircon worked when first turned on but not later in the evening.
