I really appreciated the welcome drink and welcome pack, and the staff member who welcomed me was lovely. These were thoughtful touches and a great start to the stay.

Cons:

Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t what I had hoped for. My room was quite dusty and had a persistent damp, dog-like smell, which was unpleasant, particularly as animals are not permitted.

I mentioned the issue to reception within the first hour of checking in. After the first night, my allergies had become quite severe, so I returned to reception to raise my concerns again. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel much assistance was offered at the time.

I would like to acknowledge the cleaning staff, who kindly vacuumed the carpet at my request. However, the dust and smell continued to affect me, and I ultimately had to sleep in the room paid for by my accompanying guest.

I appreciate that issues can arise, but I was disappointed that the problem couldn’t be resolved, as it had a significant impact on my comfort and overall stay. I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the experience for future guests.

If you’re looking for something a little out of the norm this is the place!
Pros:

It was one of the most authentic places I have ever stayed. We were received a warm welcome when we arrived and were given a complimentary drink each at their bar. Loved the retro style restaurant and rooms and that the mini bar was complimentary. You don’t see that very often. It was lovely and quiet and the staff were amazing.

Cons:

The only thing that I wasn’t very happy about was the bed wasn’t very comfortable and the pillows although looked very plush but went quite flat when being used so needed multiple pillows.

Cons:

Food quality and room cleanliness was well below acceptable. ie: food was undercooked. Room was not vacuumed and there was mud on the floor of the bathroom.

Nicely renovated, but overpriced for the location and overall motel-style experience.

Nicely renovated and clean room, warm breakfast on site not just a buffet.

Cons:

Found The Oriana overpriced for what it is. At around $350 per night, I was expecting a boutique hotel experience, but ultimately it felt like a nicely renovated motel.

While the renovations are attractive, they didn't justify the price for me, particularly given the location outside the main part of town. Overall, I just didn't feel the accommodation, location or experience warranted the nightly rate.
