Not value for money
Pros:

Very dated property with a very soft uncomfortable bed. Advertised as a four star hotel which it most definitely is not.

Cons:

They were one of the only hotels with availability when our flight to Dubai was cancelled due to the Middle East crisis - in hindsight would rather have stayed at the airport and saved the money

A lovely clean hotel (shower was fantastic!!)
Pros:

We chose the Colmslie due to it's closeness to where my son lived in Brisbane and for this it was perfect, I'm not sure it would be as suitable for travellers wishing to see the sights of Brisbane unless they had a car.

Fine but thd failure to return my 2 deposits is a sticking point.

No balconies
No bathtub
No complimentary breakfast at all in two weeks
No water in the room on arrival

Problem- despite two phone calls and one complaint I am still waiting for the return of two $100 deposits ( ( I booked original stay online then extended my stay at the front desk)

Pros:

Location is great allowing access to many things we required. Rooms are big allowing persons with mobility issues to move freely. The place was clean and the staff very helpful.

GREAT LOCATION, EXCELLENT ROOM.. JUST AWESOME
Pros:

WAS A LITTLE ON THE PRICEY SIDE, BUT VERY CLEAN, LARGE ROOM WITH EVERYTHING i NEEDED AND SUPER CLOSE TO WHAT I WAS DOING SO I GUESS THATS THE TRADEOFF. FOOD WAS AWESOME TOO.

THE ONLY THING I WAS A LITTLE LESS THAN HAPPY ABOUT WAS THE PRICE BUT AS MENTIONED THAT IS THE TRADEOFF FOR ALL THE BENEFITS I MENTIONED.

quick and easy check in

Cons:

breakfast was not the best ordered a very basic meal, poached eggs on toast with bacon and grilled tomato and asked for soft poached. eggs came out hard, no butter on the toast and bacon very lightly cooked.
I do understand that kitchen staff are very hard to find and breakfast chefs can be even harder to find. Maybe a little bit of training may help as it can be hard to deal with multiple orders

A pleasant stay. Good food and very clean. Very quiet.
Pros:

breakfast was on time. eggs were cold. no option to change bacon for mushrooms. I do not like bacon. But I like poached eggs on toast...no butter on the toast...

bed sheets were not tight enough. foam topper on mattress was uncomfortable.
