Was very clean, good location.
Could have done with a microwave.
The town of Geeveston is a great base to explore the southern area. (Hartz Mountain NP, Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves and Thermal pool, and the road to Cockle Creek). The room was clean and the beds very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and showers hot. It was very quiet at night. I felt safe, with main door kept closed after hours. It had self check-in, guided by a manager on the phone. The main foyer had old comfy furniture and a fire place for winter.
Very little cupboards or hanging space in the room. Had to use one of the bunk beds to house our suitcases, and hang things off.
I didn't read the fine print and was not aware the room would not have a bar fridge or tea/coffee making facilities in it.
There was a small bar fridge in the corridor which was shared with the 5 rooms. The kettle was on top, but the cups and coffee and tea/sugar was on a table in the foyer. The corridor with the 5 rooms was being re-plastered and painted the whole 4 days we were there. The "tea room"/Cafe was not operating except on the weekends (which was when we left!). The Booking.com website needs updating to reflect current circumstances. There were phone numbers you could ring to get help, but there appeared to be no-one on site.
I think the motel is in transition of ownership which might explain these issues. It seems strange to be doing such big renovations in February.
Room was neat and clean with a bit of old world charm and character.
The bed left like you were sleeping with your head downhill. Needs new bed.
Location was great
Main bed was too small.
The beds
The rest of it
location was Room was rustic but comfortable
Overhead Light and one bedside light not working
Great location. Quirky comfy
Bit more communication from the on-site manager would’ve been helpful
Location, comfortable bed.
No coffee cups, no milk you had to keep going into dark/cold hallway to use kettle. There was no spare blanket to wrap up in.
I actually loved the fact we didn't have to go through lengthy check ins, just a text message with a pin number for the door
There was 1 shared kettle and bar fridge for the 4 rooms, felt very awkward and there was no mugs out we had to go to the Cafe and borrow some, not a big deal but would be nice to have these in every room
Our family room was spacious, clean, and just what we needed for a one-night stay. The hotel was located nearby to other shops and was within walking distance to a playground and a Platypus Walk, which was great for letting the kids burn off some energy before our next destination.
There was a communal fridge for keeping our food cold, which we would have preferred in our room, although it wasn't a deal breaker at the end of the day.
