Pros:

We like it because we were out of the city but just a short walk and a ferry to Circular Quay. Quiet, comfortable. Street parking was easy on the weekend.

Carnavon Lodge is good value for money in terms of the facilities and location close to the harbour
Pros:

the bedroom and the bathroom were well presented and clean.
the location is very close to Kirribilli/Milson's Point shops
the online staff were helpful with directions and information
using a code system to access one's room felt secure

Cons:

It would be helpful to have some cutlery and crockery (glass & bowl) in the room to eat one's self service breakfast
the front door of the building is always unlocked with property monitoring is done via closed circuit television

Perfect for Royal Kiribilli Yacht Squadron
Pros:

Delightful staff, very helpful and professional. Small room but with everything you'd need. We were attending a wedding at the Royal Kirribilli Yacht Squadron which is a short walk away (down quite a steep hill). Quiet, pretty residential street. The only issue is parking - ;just 1 space for the lodge which you pay extra for - and street parking is tricky. Most guests seem to be young and to be there for longer stays but our 1 night stay was no problem. Would definitely stay again.
