Lovely property in beautiful location. Breakfast in the outdoor courtyard was a lovely way to start the day
Location, indoor pool and sauna
Staff was confused with booking on check-in and requested bottle of Prosecco arranged prior to check-in wasn't delivered to room.
Great location. Friendly staff. Beautiful aesthetic
Nice rooms, stylish hotel.
Some staff were rude and uninterested
Quality and style of accommodation plus indoor and outdoor options
Nothing
Staff fantastic. Beautiful fit out of lobby, gardens, common areas. Onsite restaurant (The Virgin Kitchen) was fantastic, we went back three times.
The bathrooms were very functional but a little tired.
Stunning interiors, lovely location, comfortable bed… there’s nothing to dislike about this property. The food in the restaurant (Virgin) was amazing and the staff were so friendly.
NA
Beautiful outside and the rooms were aesthetically pleasing. Comfortable.
The balcony was nice but nowhere to sit unless you’re using the bar or restaurant and shared with all the other rooms on that level. Doors are quite loud so anyone moving around at night jars you awake as they open and close doors. We were largely ignored and had to call for room service after day 3 with full bins and no clean towels sugar or coffee left with replacements literally just dropped onto our unmade bed an hour after I called. The pool and spa are lovely but could do with some maintenance with half the jets not working in the spa.
The pure elegance of the place. Luxurious vibey interiors. It was a great weekend where we could just relax
Very clean, comfy bed
Location
Balcony wasn't a balcony room misleading there was a balcony but not.one you could sit from your room no furniture and shared walkway
The bathroom was unclean. There was a big crack in basin and shower, and tiles were not clean to a standard. Also, sticky tape was holding a power plug in !!
We have stayed here a few times which is why we returned. The rates for staying here are extremely variable on when you want to stay. We were able to get a cheap rate as it was a Sunday night. We really like the whole vibe of the place and The Virgin Kitchen. Sadly we didn’t have time to use the pool this time.
The windows were dirty and the fridge was very noisy so we ended up unplugging it.
Nothing.
We booked two nights (13-14th of February) and we have reached out multiple times to Hotel Bellinzona regarding our terrible experience. However, we have had no response for over a week - this is why I am making this review public.
The moment we stepped foot in the building, we regretted booking it. It was significantly more worn down than advertised with inappropriate images on every wall/room. Not only that, but the hallways also had a questionable stench (the room smell was better).
Additionally, the first night, a car was broken into in the back car park, where our car was also parked. When we notified the reception, they had a very dismissive attitude which does not inspire any confidence or make us feel safe parking here.
Moreover, the air conditioner did not work in 27-degree heat, causing the room to be humid, hot, stuffy, and ultimately made it impossible for us to relax.
The WORST part of the stay occurred on night two (Valentine's night). We came back to the hotel at 11:20 PM after dinner and found the back door locked. We made our way to the front (although there was no clear path there), and even the front door was locked with no staff or instructions to help us. This is the worst way to end Valentine's day, adding unnecessary stress when we just wanted to sleep. We have been to many hotels in the past, and have never experienced a hotel with a hidden curfew, especially for in-house guests.
We understand that checkin or check out may be limited to a certain window, however it is ridiculous that we were locked out of our accommodation at 11:20 PM - this is not even an unreasonable hour. We called and spoke to the night manager, who helped us in via the key safe. While I was opening the door, I accidentally hung up. Upon calling again, I was met with a different lady, who - like the receptionist earlier - had a dismissive and condescending attitude.
Overall, for the price we paid and the apparent ratings, this was a terrible experience.
Beautiful space which is sumptuously decorated. Wonderful staff.
There's nothing we don't enjoy about this place.
Location
Seemed there was info missing in the room, like internet password and how to use the phone, how to call reception and restaurant etc. Think an info card was missing.
