The Gardener's Cottage was authentic and quaint, an original building but updated for comfort.
We especially loved setting the fire and enjoying the cosy ambience and warmth. The sunset from the window was like a Wolfhagen or Wagner painting, two accomplished artists who appreciate the vistas in this part of the world.
Beautiful period accomodation with great little touches and decor. Loved the guided tour- made the history of this world class time capsule come alive.
Creaky, but safe, steep stairs - to be expected with the period

The historic accommodation and surroundings
The rounded gravel car park surface was a bit slippery.
Real old world charm - you are staying in a cottage virtually unchanged from 190 years ago (except for mod cons).
The entire property is expansive and is an open air museum with lovely views across the landscape.
Having a washing machine and dryer in the cottage also a big bonus.
Toilets are on the ground level (down creaky stairs from the bedroom loft).
1830s Gardner's cottage on estate. Walk to restaurant, visitor centre. Cottage blended old with modern.
More colour warning strips on step between kitchen and bathroom.
We made our own food which is a bonus when staying away. Location is great, quiet and only 20 min from Launceston.
We would have liked to have done the buggy tour the next day but unfortunately the staff had meetings. Not really anything negative to say about the property.
Very cute, historic cottage with all the modern amenities that we could need. We also enjoyed walking through the exhibits in the other old buildings.
We didn’t have any problems at all with the cottage
An amazing location inside a World Heritage listed site. How often can you do that?
That I had only one night. I was missing a pen to fill in the survey
The setting.
The drinking water container.
Had a nice lunch, Old buildings and contents very interesting. Convict history very interesting.
