Historic cottages on a UNESCO World Heritage convict site - incredible opportunity to experience our history.
Loved the ambience - so much history and the properties interesting and beautiful.
The cottage (coachman’s cottage) was plumbed to river water with 10 litres drinking water provided. This would be okay except for the fact there was absolutely no information in the cottage to tell us this, we found out when we checked out. We guessed the drinking water meant the tap water was not for drinking but a sign woukd be very helpful! The provided tea bags were also neater and someone had mixed in peppermint teabags with the normal ones so everything tasted peppermint. These are small and easily fixable things which would have made a lot of difference.
Loved all the history of Woolmers and the ability to wander through the property looking at all the old buildings. The cottage we stayed in was clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed.
Fabulous location lovely to be part of Australian history
Peaceful countryside location and Heritage buildings

Location, beautiful gardens and historic house that we could walk around in the evenings giving us a unique experience. It had everything we needed and nice quality. Very quiet and peaceful.
Nothing really but a few more clothes pegs would have been great.
A historical site and special experience. The check-in experience is amazing and user friendly.
The location was beautiful. Because it was a holiday period, there were no tours so, the peace and quiet was wonderful.
Historic buildings were not well maintained. Rusted rooves, cracked paint and the additions of cheap, non period pieces were quite disappointing.
Was such a pretty location and was so lovely to stay outside Launceston. The grounds and buildings were fantastic
Wish we were staying when everything was open and had the tours operating - they looked fantastic. Also I think they must have sprayed for bugs before we arrived which makes sense on a rural property but just a lot of dying bugs inside
Beautiful and quiet cottage on the estate, very clean and tidy, the bed and pillows were super comfortable and cosy. Linen and towels were lovely and clean. Appreciated the small glass of port to have by the fireplace. Kitchen had all the essentials, although it would have been nice to have had a small local hamper of breakfast goodies, considering the price. But otherwise we loved our stay here and really enjoyed wondering the estate and enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.
Everything was fantastic especially considering the age of the property, the stairs do creek but it’s to be expected and not really a bother. The fresh water provided would be easier to manage if it was in a proper stand alone water dispenser with a proper tap.
Beautiful character cottage
Lovely quaint cottage. Nice little treat of chocolates and port.
Interesting books and magazines for reading. Comfy bed.
Thoroughly enjoyed roaming around the estate. We enjoyed a tasty Devonshire tea in the cafe. Staff in both cafe and shop were very friendly.
Nice quiet rural location. Certainly recommend it as a nice place to stay.
Cutlery was a little light on with only one dinner knife and two bread and butter knives. Saucepan lid missing and a non-stick frypan would be good.
Lovely property & grounds, cosy & comfortable cottage.
Stairs to bedroom are extremely squeaky, but we expect that can’t be helped in a building so old… a bit annoying in the dead of night when one has to use the bathroom, but also adds to the historic ambience!
Beautiful surroundings and quiet, fresh air, gorgeous rose garden at the back of the cottage.
There was a peculiar smell in the cottage and very dusty living room, reason we did not use it.
