The Formby Hotel is home of the popular Central Bar and Restaurant – the bar is open with live music or DJs Friday & Saturday nights until 11pm and some rooms will be affected by noise from this on these evenings.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Overall a good stay. Great location, cheap room rate, great food downstairs in the cosy restaurant.
Pros:

Location was good, plenty of shops, cafes, take aways etc in walking distance.
Was able to park in the hotel carpark. Had a great restaurant downstairs that was warm & cosy with the fireplace & a good menu.

Cons:

Didn't like that there was no milks in fridge- had to leave to go & find milk for my cuppa's. Also didn't like the cramped bathroom & bathroom sink in the bedroom as the bathroom was too small to fit the hand basin.
Also dragging a big heavy suitcase up 3 flights of stairs was quiet difficult.

Location is great, staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant is spectacular!

Cons:

Stairs-only access is tough, I had a lot of work gear I couldn't leave in the car, and the stairs/keyed door combo was a challenge.

Value for money for a short stay comfortable and clean with excellent food
Pros:

It is attached to an excellent pub and restaurant

Cons:

No lift if you are disabled
Parking was in a separate carpark could be an issue with rain and heavy luggage

Pros:

Really nice restaurant, cosy and warm with delicious food. The creamy pumpkin, chicken and bacon soup was outstanding. The staff were very pleasant, especially Dimity who was very efficient and went out of her way to make us comfortable. Great location, very close to the main shops and port and a pleasant, clean room. Highly recommended.
