The Formby Hotel is home of the popular Central Bar and Restaurant – the bar is open with live music or DJs Friday & Saturday nights until 11pm and some rooms will be affected by noise from this on these evenings.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.

Pros:

Check in easy, proximity to Ferry for early departure.

Cons:

TV position on the wall made it very difficult to view except on a big angle Shower in the bath was very difficult for elderly person access

Was okay for us at a quiet time of year. Would not choose to stay at a peak time.
Pros:

I have stayed in plenty of youth hostels over many years and this one was ok even if not branded a YH per se. It was very quiet (late March) but would not like to stay when v busy as bathroom provision is v poor for the number of guests.

Pros:

The location was directly opposite the Spirit of Tasmania terminal, making it extremely convenient. The hotel food was excellent, and the amenities were well-equipped with everything you could need.

Cons:

Unfortunately, the night was quite noisy, with people shouting late at night and disturbances around 12–1 am, including loud door slamming and phone noise.

Meal and service was GREAT but upstairs in the room needed a little more TLC
Pros:

We had a 60th there in the big room
The meals were AMAZING 10/10

Cons:

My wife and I stayed at one of the rooms upstairs
The room was very clean
unfortunately there was only 1 cup
The shampoo and conditioner was empty
The shower was only just warm
I had the hot water on only
