The Formby Hotel is home of the popular Central Bar and Restaurant – the bar is open with live music or DJs Friday & Saturday nights until 11pm and some rooms will be affected by noise from this on these evenings.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. Great spot cool pub, or second time staying there
Pros:

Great location and fun staying at a pub with full communal kitchen if you don’t want to go out for meals and fun watching the spirit of Tasmania come and go

Cons:

Too many stairs for us oldies haha to carry luggage

Good value for money for short stays
Pros:

Great value for money and great location

Cons:

Lots of stairs to negotiate on front and rear entrances. The rear entrance staircase is exposed to the weather.
Close parking spot not always available

Pros:

Generally the whole place was clean and tidy with nice views

Cons:

The shower in room 12 is pathetic , the shower head falls down because it is loose , the hot water tap is tight and only drips out when turned on .the worst shower I’ve ever been in .

Overall a good stay. Great location, cheap room rate, great food downstairs in the cosy restaurant.
Pros:

Location was good, plenty of shops, cafes, take aways etc in walking distance.
Was able to park in the hotel carpark. Had a great restaurant downstairs that was warm & cosy with the fireplace & a good menu.

Cons:

Didn't like that there was no milks in fridge- had to leave to go & find milk for my cuppa's. Also didn't like the cramped bathroom & bathroom sink in the bedroom as the bathroom was too small to fit the hand basin.
Also dragging a big heavy suitcase up 3 flights of stairs was quiet difficult.
