Pros:

Great location. Tidy room and facilities, nicer than expected. As expected, was loud on Friday and Saturday nights with live music (the reality of staying above a pub!). Will happily stay again :)

Highly recommended pub stay
Pros:

A great pub with awesome facilities, would recommend to others.
Loved the live music.

Cons:

Rooms would have benefited hugely with air-conditioning as we came from New Zealand and don't do 30 degrees plus very well.
Band could have had their overall sound quite a bit lower and we would have stayed longer listening in the bar.

Pros:

Echt het beste hotel/hostel waar we zijn geweest!! Prachtige sfeer in dit oude gebouw. Hele ruime kamer en luxe douches.

Cons:

Geen airco! Erg warme nachten gehad. En de bedden waren keihard en je voelde de veren :(

Great place to stay in Newcastle
Pros:

Nice room in a nice pub with great pizza indeed!
Bathrooms were also nice and never occupied

Cons:

Since the pub operates only in the afternoon/evening it can get quite tricky when you arrive early like me to leave your luggage

Enjoyed the night walk to the harbour as the accommodation was so conveniently located
Pros:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location was convenient. The pizza shop within the Hotel made great pizzas.

Cons:

No air-conditioning and it was a stifling hot night, so not very comfortable at all. The room was small. Also didn't like the shared bathroom and toilets as well as a shared kitchen although didn't mind it as much because it was clean and roomy.

I painted a beach view, framed it and hung it up in the hotel as a sneaky thanks!
Pros:

The location was great and the kitchen was stocked with a range of electric plug-in appliances as alternatives to the microwave.

Cons:

Air conditioning would have been a good addition. the kitchen was missing a strainer/colander But other than that it was great!
