Awful. Far from what we expected for our trip with family who were over from Europe.
Pros:

The location was the only thing that this place had going for it.
It is walking distance to the beach - though not a private beach the listing claims to have. The view from the apartment was amazing.
After hours check in was easy.

Cons:

Despite being told we would get a refund IN WRITING IN THE BOOKING.COM CHAT, we never got a cent back from this place.
Even Booking.com sided with the property, and only offered a credit for a meager 10% of what we paid.

We arrived late, management had already left. This was fine until we walked into the apartment.

- None of the photos on the listing were from the apartment we stayed in
- No air conditioning in every room like the photos suggest
- The bathroom is old, rundown and damaged, while the photos suggest they have been renovated
- Overall condition from the photos is considerably better than reality
Overall:
- Cobwebs on the walls throughout
- Dirt and grime in every room
- Hair from previous guests noticeable in many places
- The bedding has existing stains on it
Bathroom:
- Run down and dirty
- Patches of mould
- Toilet cistern didn't refill reliably, sometimes taking more than 5-10 mins
- One of the panes of glass in the bathroom is missing
- Shower head is not adjustable, and is only usable when leaning against the wall
Lighting:
- The lights flicker
- Several bulbs are blown
- The fittings don't look like they have been cleaned - likely ever
Comfort:
- The smell of the neighbour smoking comes in instantly, even with all the windows closed. So much for non-smoking rooms
- No insect control methods are provided. The bugs in QLD are big, especially the roaches
- Lack of space for towels, shower amenities

We met with the on site management the morning after arriving, and without any prompting from us they immediate stated that the place was really bad. They were temporary managers, and were leaving the next day.

Due to everything being booked out, we couldn't stay anywhere else. Ended up paying to reschedule our flights, and flew out the day the real manages came back, but because of the time of our flight we couldn't speak to them.

A wonderful stay!
Pros:

Bridget, the host, was wonderful. I arrived quite early, and she was so accommodating. I was offered to wait for my room to be cleaned (or store my luggage and explore town) or a different room that was ready. I chose the other room, and was given access by 9 am. And at checkout, when told my bus wouldn't leave for another couple of hours, she offered to let me stay for another hour free of charge. Bridget is truly a 10/10 manager!
When I had any questions, they were more than willing to answer and help.
The facilities were great. I had a small porch with table and chairs. The kitchen facilities were also excellent with both a fridge and a freezer and all the basic cooking equipment.
The apartments are located in walking distance to the grocery store and the rest of the town, and even though it is in a busy area, the noise was not bothersome.
I did not use the pool facilities, but they looked good.
While there is only WiFi in the common areas, the connection is good and probably extends to the closest apartments. It did not extend to mine, but the common areas had loads of seating options with a great view.

Cons:

It had obviously been a little while since someone had stayed in the room (or it had a quick turnaround). The floors were noticably dirty (especially under the bed), but not to the extent that I was put off, just noticed it (had I alerted them to this, they would probably have fixed it). I understand that guests cleans the kitchen equipment after use (also necessary because of the ants), but some had been cleaned a little poorly and I had to do the dishes before making my food. Maybe just have the cleaning staff check to see if everything is clean?
The WiFi is only available in common areas, and these are not protected much from the elements.
