Great & convenient stay
Pros:

No meals available due to renovations, but on previous stay, meals were awesome with great selection. Beds were comfy as, quiet rooms with hardly any road noise considering it is situated at a 5 road junction. Hotel is in walking distance of the Newcastle Entertainment Centre which is a bonus, staff very helpful.

Cons:

The bathroom was a little mouldy and we had a cochroach visit in the bathroom (minor issues), other then that everything was great. Will stay again.

Pros:

the staff were friendly

Cons:

we were in Room 2 with a new bathroom, where the shower water flowed out of the shower & across the smnall floor area in front of the toilet & handbasin. At around 4pm on the Friday afternoon he shower water had to be run for 20 minutes till it became warm ... later that evening and on the next morning it was hot. I had booked a second room and listed i had a child in that room. The property was inappropriate for a 3 year old due to renovations and the child not allowed in any other area then the bedrooms. The renovations were for the bistro area & we were not aware that this was happening and that there was no eating area at the Hotel. There was also nothing within walking distance from 3pm on the Friday afternoon, except a service station across the road.

Wasn’t very nice experience with all the drama we had there for our 3 night stay for medical appointments At John Hunter
Pros:

The staff were friendly and helpful they offered me a refund back for 1 night accommodation from 3 nights stay ! Convenient location apart from renovations happening

Cons:

There doing renovations I totally understand but we weren’t told about that or that there would be parking issues as there wasn’t any parking space available as the builders are using them had to park down the street not close by . They were making noise the builders in the morning and woke us up and the builders turned off the water in the morning and we wernt even told before so we couldn’t have a morning shower or anything clean teeth etc flush toilet . Bathroom drain wasn’t working properly bathroom floor flooded from the shower right up to the door way
My daughter kicked her toes on the lip of the bathroom floor step uneven huge gap with the step into. Bathroom entry
