I would definitely recommend this to friends and would consider staying again in the future.
Pros:

It was very nice for a cheap stay and the pub meals were great with the happy hour drinks and they have an after hours bar downstairs for later on at night. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Cons:

Access for parking. I have to lug all my stuff up the stairs to the room and I had to park with hazards lights on to drop off the stuff and then I had to park way up near the beach and walk back to the hotel.

Perfect for a cheeky weekend
Pros:

Brilliant staff (Jason, Elliot, Sam + the Underground tenders all ace), can't thank them enough. Food was amazing - Lamb Salad + Aubergine thingo - Top notch. Room was clean, fresh towels delivered. No dramas. Thanks again gang, ripper weekend.

Cons:

Loved it all. I thought it was table service in the bistro (I thought it was a restaurant), was looking for a bit of table service flash. No biggie, yet slightly disappointed/anxious my partner would like it... then the fabulous Jason entered our lives. Cutlery, intuitively knew we wanted share plates. Jase was the icing on the table service cake. Anxiety dissolved, we felt welcomed, appreciated and entertained. Class - 10 out of 10 mate.

Gorgeous building and comfy bed.

Cons:

Room are so dated..
The walls were dirty, seemed to be blood,!!!!!! I had to clean it because my 3yo picked the bed right beside.
The paint was falling off, windows need a serious clean.
Bathroom were odd and cold as a window slab was missing which made the whole unit very cold..
Freezer needs a serious defrost.
And the cleaning staff threw away some food, when you travel with a child, the last thing we want is to have to go back shopping because someone throw away the bread.

Location was great

Cons:

Bath towels the size of hand towel (no exaggeration) and so thin, once my hair was towelled, it was soaked through and no other towel to use. 6 lights in the room, 2 were decoration (they didnt work) 2 were so poor you couldnt even see yourself and the 2 bedside lights that worked were too small to illuminate the rest of the large room. Broken tiles in Bathrom and plumbing that needs to be upgraded to work effectively in the shower

Pros:

Great location just moments from the beach. Friendly staff and really comfortable bed! I slept like a log!

Cons:

Not too much of an issue, but there wasn’t a shower curtain so the bathroom floor did get quite wet (sorry!). Towels were provided but even so it was a bit messy (again sorry!)

Great place with charm and all that is needed, especially for a short stay.
Pros:

Service, closeness to good food and beer - just downstairs - was excellent. The staff were excellent - all, including the cleaners in the morning. Location was excellent.

Cons:

We have stayed at the Grand Hotel three times before and have been very happy with it. We stayed in Room 18 for the first time, which had a chair that was wobbly and a side table that had a broken leg - fixing those things would improve the room. I know that access to the different floors is via the stairs, but having which floor the rooms are on in the website would be helpful - the top floor is getting harder as we are getting older.
