Seabrook Hotel is Somerset is a lovely place to relax. The bistro is a little pricey but very nice all the same. Overall

The room itself was fine, it was meant to be a non smoking hotel, there were ash trays outside the doors.
Pros:

My fire alarm battery started beeping at 4:45am, I called an emergency number and was told they’d be with me within an hour. No one came. I had no sleep from that point to 7am. I originally went to sleep at 12.30am so it was not a good experience.

The staff didn’t seem to care and the reception wouldn’t refund me. She told me to contact Booking.com, as I had booked through them. Apparently alarm maintenance is their job. I left a day early as I didn’t want to experience that again, and had to head home so it was a wasted trip. Having to get another guest to help disable the alarm was unacceptable.

Cons:

The response to that incident and the attitude of the staff and the way they responded to the incident, and the overall apathy I experienced. You get what you pay for.

Pros:

Very comfortable room. Water was hot and aircon worked well for heating. Beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Restaurant attached is handy for anyone wishing to not go anywhere and not having food with them (although we didnt use it).

Cons:

On arrival we had no idea where check in was. The building looked abandoned from the road and it made us wonder. Perhaps some signage to let fuests know where the main entry is (on the back of the building). Bathroom door was very stiff. Needs maintenance. No plates or cutlery in the room without asking for it. We didn't bother. We were tired. Just used the 1 teaspoon and tea cup for everything.

We had to sleep the first night with no pillow slips on the pillows, major hygiene issue. The sliding door to go to bathroom did not work, so woke other member during the night, and the single bed was sinking so felt like I was rolling out all night. Management were non engaging and unprofessional.

Run down and noisy
Cons:

Bang! Bang! Bang! Went the very run down motel roof all night. When I reported it didnt even get an apology.
