Charming Historical Hotel in the Center of Town
Pros:

The office was closed on arrival, so I waited at the bar to check in & get instructions where to park. The staff was not the most friendly, but they were somewhat busy waiting on dining customers.

Cons:

No elevator or offer to assist a 72 year old with luggage up two flights of stairs.

The location was great, on the main street. I rate the restaurant and bar high as the staff and food were excellent

Cons:

Being given a room facing the rear and lugging heavy luggage up two flights of stairs. The room was a little on the small side by the time two suitcases were opened.

Lovely old hotel in the centre of town with a great restaurant.
Pros:

A Centrally located, beautiful old pub.
Restaurant within the building served very nice meals… just remember to book as it’s very popular!

Cons:

Be aware there are two flights of very steep stairs.
We were in room 2 , west facing, and there was no ceiling fan or air con… only heating! Uncomfortably hot!

We loved our stay at the Stanley Hotel - a beautiful building, tastefully restored and great staff.
Pros:

The location of the historical hotel was central and walking distance to everything that Stanley had to offer. The room was exceptionally clean and the bonus was the wonderful verandah leading from our room with the amazing view of the Nut. Dinner was delicious and the restaurant staff were friendly, attentive and professional. The viewing platforms for the little penguins was a short walk after sunset and we were lucky enough to see quite a few. Would definitely recommend Stanley Hotel to anyone visiting the area. Loved it.

Luxurious comfortable room with verandah, a street view of the town, chairlift and ocean.
Hotel has a bistro with a good range of delicious food. Must do on your stay.
Viewing the fairy penguins is just down the road. Unbelievable experience just a few streets away.

Don't hesitate booked a room.
