Stanley was our first stop in Tasmania and it set a great standard for the beginning of a wonderful
Pros:

Our room was lovely, bathroom great as well. Room was very clean and very comfy. We had drinks on the veranda before dinner and had dinner in the restaurant. Meal was great, the scollop pie delicious and the staff friendly .

Cons:

I cant think of anything that would have made our stay any better

Ideal location to access the fabulous north-west options - Nut, Cape Grim, Tarkine Rainforest, etc.
Pros:

Everything - location, meals, service - nothing not to like

Cons:

The weather prevented us from taking the chairlift to The Nut and we were too lazy to walk up in the rain

Pros:

Our room was beautiful, with an ensuite, and French doors opening onto the verandah which overlooked the Nut. Lovely meals and service in the restaurant. Bookings advised as it gets very busy.

Superb location that has much to offer.
Pros:

The restaurant was warm and cozy. The scallop pies were incredibly delicious. The staff were very accommodating and helpful, especially with their penguin knowledge. The location was perfect for easy access to the 'Nut' and the penguins.

Great location. Nice dining area but we chose to eat at Hersey‘s seafood over the road which was sensational.

Cons:

The room was clean, warm and comfortable but absolutely tiny - nothing like the photos on the website. The window was tiny and looked over houses at the back & not towards the Nut which I was expecting. There was so many up and downstairs just to get to our room with our heavy suitcases.

A lovely hotel in the ideal location in town. Staff was friendly, the room was spacious and clean. The scallop pie for dinner in the restaurant was superb. And the penguins were easy to view nearby and emerged from the sea at the exact time I was told they would. Highly recommended.
