Cons:

I wasn’t made aware of the construction to the building prior to my arrival.
The staff were pleasant and made me aware of the broken aircon/ heater which was fine with me and grateful I was told.
But I did NOT APPRECIATE HAVING MY CREDIT CARD DEDUCTED prior to my arrival, when i had used it to hold the booking ONLY! As the ad on the booking .com had stated. I should have been contacted about this!! Or asked how you would like your room charged to. This was NOT the card I had intended to use to pay for my room UPON my arrival! Someone else was meant to pay.
You have no idea how this has inconvenienced me. I’m so angry about this. I have years of experience in hospitality and know this is unprofessional.
Funny though, my sister booked after us only because we were staying at the Quest Ballarat, and because she booked a single room for herself was upgraded with chocolates. This made me feel even better.
Thanks so much for tarnishing my stay, even before I arrived.
