This is ideally located for the beach. The internal restaurant is very good and friendly.

This is ideally located for the beach but perhaps not for other restaurants, cafes and shops. The internal restaurant is however, very good. The rooms are okay but this is not a 4 star hotel even though they must have ticked all the boxes to be able to list it as one.
The bathroom is small and there are “blue-tacked” notices everywhere plus the fittings in the room are just adequate. Parking is very limited and was full by 3pm so parking was on the street if you can find one. Reception friendliness is hit or miss.
Generally okay for the location and their internal restaurant.

we appreciate the extra night we needed to stay at short notice in the same room due to illness
Pros:

breakfast and dinner was easily booked and very quick service in the restaurant

Cons:

The off street parking (underground carpark ) was way to tight and small. We had a standard size car and scrubbed the front bumper lower spoiler apron as we entered the steep driveway and the spaces were way too narrow and for such a large hotel only a dozen or so spots so we parked on the street.

The only negative I could find was the lack of bench space in the bathroom.

Not very happy. Maybe I was expecting too much.
Pros:

The best part of the Dorsal is the view. I was on the top floor facing the ocean.

Cons:

I have stay in a lot of motels over the years. To be honest I would rate the Dorsal as very average. Not even a microwave to heat some food. I won't be back.

This property has it all- beach view and fantastic restaurant right on site!
Pros:

The views from the balcony were second to none and the huge bed was so comfortable . We were allowed to get in a bit early too by the very helpful staff
