Great position with easy walk to beach front. A small woolworths right next door and a great Irish pub underneath! The rooms were sooo quiet you would never know there was a pub in the same building! Would definitely go back! I had the best shower I've had for a long time...

Honestly for accommodation above a pub, Southend is amazing! The rooms are newly renovated, large and super comfortable with their own bathrooms. Staff are so accommodating and we had leak from balcony in our two rooms due to extreme weather and they moved us to new rooms straight away, provided us with free drinks and continually checked on us.
The food at the pub below is delicious and the vibe is very warm and friendly!

rooms recently refurbished, everything works, no noise from pub, serviced daily, pub bistro handy and good.
20 stairs, not helpful because of heavy rainfall, and moving in & out. Parking bad when pub open, good out of hours.

This was a one night stay for work but the room was perfect, clean and tidy and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Easy walk to the beach and the walk along the headland was perfect.
Clean pleasant rooms, good location good value
We arrived late and staff were very helpful and our flight the next day was not until later in the afternoon so the staff helped us out and locked our bags in the office while we walked to the beach. All the staff were very helpful 10/10. Thank you.
We found the Southend Hotel to be clean and comfy for the nights accommodation we required. Although the pokies were an addition we didn't know we would hear, but only when the balcony door was ajar.
Service and cleanliness.
Not a great experience. Checked in after waiting 30 minutes and was told by the yound lad behind the bar ' we were busy ' Didn't even check the hotel counter once in that time so not a great experience to start off with. Basic hotel rooms above a noisy and loud bar. The place is cheap for a reason. Do yourself a favour and stay elsewhere
