Great location. Fun pub. Pay for the larger room, it’s worth it.

A very funky hotel with lots of charm! Great location - walking distance to most places and the light rail just outside the front door. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Convenient location, great staff always willing to help and very comfy bed.
Pros:

Very clean. Comfortable bed and choice of pillows. Restaurant and bar downstairs . Funky decor.

Cons:

Room was small. When you opened the bathroom door you could only access half of the sink. Had to close the door to fill kettle. Only a minor inconvenience. Verandah was very small. Had to stand up to see over the cactus plants. 2 people couldn’t fit on it.

Cool Vibe with Comfort
Pros:

Loved this quirky room within The Lucky Hotel. From the retro suitcases in the foyer to the fun lift decor to the spacious room - it was all great. We had a little balcony to sit on and watch the busy street scape and it was within walking distance to the beach, museum and fabulous restaurants and cafes. Loved staying here and would definitely recommend to family and friends visiting Newcastle.

A pub stay that feels like you’re in a fancy hotel!
Pros:

Very clean. Excellent location for where we needed to be. The bed was the most comfortable of any accommodation i’ve stayed in and just had an all round great vibe.
