Aston Tanjung City Hotel

Comfortable luxury hotel. With a very affordable price of only IDR 600 - 700 thousand, you can get a comfortable place to rest. Every year, when going home to Tanjung, I always stay at this hotel. Even if you want to go to East Kalimantan from Banjarmasin, stay at this hotel first to rest before continuing your journey to East Kalimantan. The breakfast menu is also very varied. The service is also friendly. Spacious vehicle parking area. Highly recommended to stay here.

The hotel is on the main road through Tanjung, so it's loud with motorcycles and other vehicles passing by all day long. It can be difficult to sleep sometimes. The mosque was far enough away that it was not bothersome. The other issue with this hotel is the food supply issues. I'm a Canadian and would have liked to enjoy a hamburger, but for two weeks the "Aston Burger" was not available. Sometimes Sop Buntut was not available, ice cream out of stock, so no banana split. Also, the breakfast buffet was always COLD. I complained about this and it was hot for one day, then cold again for the rest of the stay. So I had them warm up my plate every day. I think Indonesians don't mind cold food. But for Canadians, cold food is unacceptable. Perhaps better burners underneath the food might work, instead of one small candle. Hopefully they can fix these food issues. Of note, the boy making the eggs made delicious omelets every morning. Those were always HOT! His name is Mohammed Rida. Really nice kid!
Now for the good things. The room was excellent, with blackout curtains, and the AC worked great! Housekeeping always did a great job! Beer was available and they always delivered to me by the pool if I asked for one. The swimming pool was a great way to beat that sweltering heat.
The staff they have working there were exceptional, but some of our favorites were Ardyan, Endang, Harina, Deka, Reza, Amin, Ericsson and Etrisia. These staff members are all great assets to your company and we hope to see them again next time. The General Manager Leo Ernesto Decock was a very nice man also. He gave me his WA and I contacted him directly with any problems I had. My wife and I are from Canada, our standards are very high. So hopefully he can fix the food supply issues, and a bit more attention to detail by some of the staff members and that will raise this hotel to the next level.
We were there for two weeks, visiting my wife's family.
Thank You for making this Canadian foreigner feel so special and welcome. We will stay at the at the Aston Tanjung City Hotel again next time.

Great Location

The hitel veey good.. but breakfast menu need more variation and taste need increased... The Bilyard just open in monday to saturday, on sunday it closed..

The facilities on the room is good, there a TV, reftigerator, brankas, and heater water..

Location near the Tanjung city. Friendly hotel services, restaurant is available & waiters are good, swimming pool is clean & there is a gym equipment. A swan was provided from a cloth towel & placed on the bed which added to the romantic atmosphere of our honeymoon. Recommended for a place to stay or a wedding / party.

Nice and friendly staffs. If I may give a suggestion in need upgrading on Gym tools. Also, sometimes the hotel looks dark because of the lights off (maybe in eficiency needed) but as part of Aston group they should have to solve it.

Utk sarapannya termasuk banyak pilihan dari western,Asia ,tradisional Indonesia bahkan makanan Lokal setempat. Rasanya pun cukup enak
