Great Customer Service
Pros:

I loved the fact the lady who managed the check ins got up when I rang at midnight to check-in even though booking.com were having technical issues and my late check in was never sent to Grand Hotel.

Cons:

The out dated room. Needs new beds and dresser etc

My GRAND Stay
Pros:

The location, the room was cosy, staff were awesome, bed came with an electric blanket and omg that was really nice

Cons:

Woke up to a leak in my bathroom. Leak was under the sink.showed the cleaning staff on discharge.

Staff except for the cleaning showed no interest to me as customer

No parking had to find car parking when I asked staff where to park told anywhere you find a park
Handle for hot tap for shower not attached

Pros:

Room was old but was warm and comfortable.
The best indian Resturant I have experienced in a very long time.
The food was delicious, generous and authentic. We chose to eat there 2 nights out of three.
The staff were extremely attentive.
Will stay again when we return.

Cons:

No lift. But we knew that before we booked and understand why. Its a very old hotel with loads of features from its original build.

I liked proximity to shops & basin
Staff lovely and helpful. The bed nice & clean and comfortable. Great sized room.

Cons:

The only thing I was unable to turn on the shower taps very hard, they were seemed to have seized up. So unable to shower. Only that was disappointing. Everything else we were very happy with. 😊

Pros:

Check-in was easy, and the guy behind the counter got it done fast. The entry is beautiful but has a weird smell. we booked 2 rooms and managed to book the room with the balcony. We expected the noise so that was ok. We were here for a 21st, and it's easy to go club hopping from this location with karaoke downstairs

Cons:

The bed was quite hard, and we were only given half a roll of toilet paper ! The camera across the road tends to point directly at the balcony when there are no cars coming. But I still really enjoyed my stay here

Never to be repeated
Cons:

Betty Windsor stayed there in the early 50s - and the hotel seems to have stopped thorough cleaning and maintenance as soon as she left. My room ( room 40) was dusty, the bedside lamp didn’t work, the fridge was noisy and the toilet cistern ran constantly. The location doesn’t have much charm either
