Comfortable stay near the centre of Tauranga
Pros:

Not far from the centre of Tauranga. Friendly welcome. Good sized room, comfortable bed and a good shower.

Comfortable stay. Great having luggage trolleys and lift to the rooms above floor level.
Pros:

Close to city, had cooking facilities, big spacious room, clean, affordable, friendly staff.

Cons:

That friends visiting hours were only to 6pm

Nice room but beware of the carpark!
Pros:

The room was nice. Classic motel room with a big bed, a small table off to the side and and a kitchenette.
The bathroom was good - I booked a spa room so the bath had jets which were great.

Cons:

Be very careful if you are driving there - the driveway is extremely steep and I scraped the side of my car because I parked in the "check in" spot for reception. I recommend parking out on the street and walking in to check in. The car park itself is also a pretty tight fit but is much more manageable. Judging by the state of the pillars in the car park I'm not the only one who had an issue!

Better options than this
Pros:

Close to centre of town.
Off street parking.
Decent sized room

Cons:

Two single mattresses on bed. Meant a hole in middle of bed. Very uncomfortable.
Curtains very poor. Let through light and don't cover up windows fully.
Needs a tidy up.
Wall paper peeling off.
Holes in towels.
Bedding low quality.

Easy access to the city

Cons:

Only had hand wash and body moisturiser in the shower/bathroom.
I questioned the man at reception in case our room had been filled with the wrong bottles accidentally. He said no shampoo or conditioner provided.
