Amazing Views, good food
Breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly. The views were spectacular as well! Beds were comfy and rooms extremely clean. I would highly recommend this place.
Hotel is tired and old. But the food at the restaurant is excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay at Loch Leven. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The room was immaculate and very comfortable. The restaurant/bar staff were likewise excellent. The food was amazing as well. The location and views completed the overall package to make our stay there truly memorable.
The hotel has a good and scenic location. The room was old and uncomfortable. There was a weird smell in the bathroom. But we only stayed overnight thankfully. The diner was good. Staff was friendly.
Beautiful location, great view, staff was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast - great food for both meals. The bar was a very cool place to spend the evening!
It was sunny out and we were able to spend time on the patio. Great view of the loch.
The hotel was spotless, cosy, staff very friendly especially the Italian barman. The food tasted great and views were stunning! I loved the outdoor area and surrounding grounds are fab! You can go down to a beach area or go a woodland walk. The only thing I feel could improve it further would be to have a little bit bigger option for breakfast. Oh and more haggis in the Balmoral chicken so that I could actually taste it but other than the food tasted amazing!
It was relaxing
The hotel is very run down. We had broken blinds in our room, no overhead light in the bathroom, heavily stained cushions on the bed,I could go on. Breakfast is very limited with just two choices and the ingredients are of poor quality. The only positive was that the bed was clean and comfy. The website doesn’t reflect the actual state of the rooms, and it’s extremely overpriced and wouldn’t recommend.
We loved our stay at Loch Leven!! Impressed from the time we drove up and saw how lovely it was! Free car park, great dinner food selections, the bar opens at 3pm which was lovely. The staff are friendly and kind. We were a little overloaded on several Scottish breakfasts in a row and they were more than accommodating to figure out an alternative. It's a lovely spot especially if you need a quiet break from the hustle of tourist season!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. The hotel is intimate and quaint. The staff were nice and out going as well.
With the unfortunate heat wave our room was very warm with no fan. Being upstairs made it even warmer. Our bathroom was receiving an odar from the kitchen in the morning and evening which was usually garlic which was not overwhelming but not always pleasant. Our view was of the rear of the hotel which was the opposite side of the hotel that had the view of the river. Not the best view.
Views from the dining area and patio were beautiful!
Food was very good. Breakfasts were good as well. Bar was good. I felt they were understaffed the day of our arrival as the service for dinner was very slow and we were not the only party that wanted our food quicker and waited and waited to receive our bill.
The view of the river was beautiful. However you are right by the bridge that goes over that same river and there is traffic noise. The rooms are in disrepair. Floors are uneven and squeaky. Tap on the sink was not bolted down and moved whenever you switched on the water. Shower was very tiny. We were given a room upstairs and there’s no lift so you have to carry all your bags up. We wouldn’t stay there again or recommend.
Comfy , friendly, nice setting
Great property to stop over on route to Skype or Inverness or return to Glasgow / Edinburgh - dining was excellent and the brewery own blend of gin different. The POD options add variety although we don’t stay in one.
Superb views of the hills and Loch.
My sister and I stayed here for several days in early June and it was amazing. The views, the little path down to the water, the food- all of it.
Great quiet spot with a fantastic onsite restaurant and bar and amazing views.
The hospitality was wonderful and the manager even played chess with our son. He was very engaging and friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and cozily decorated. Our son was fine on the pull out couch.
We enjoyed this stay a lot. The restaurant food was amazing. Only issue was internet not available in our room and ran out of hot water by evening.
Beautiful location and friendly staff, however, this is a very dated hotel and is not worth the roughly 340 GBP per night that we paid. We stayed in what is supposed to be one of their nicer rooms - the deluxe double. The room felt very dated, and not in a good way. No hair dryer or telephone in the room either. Small and uncomfortable shower. Toilet squished against a wall. Bed was comfortable at least. We had dessert in the restaurant in the evening which was very good, but breakfast was poor. The scrambled eggs were tasteless. While not a terrible hotel, a very poor value for the price.
