The only genuinely positive part of our experience at Klapa Resort was the lovely lady at reception, who was welcoming, kind, professional and understanding when we raised our concerns. She treated us with respect and did her best to assist us in an uncomfortable situation.
Unfortunately, the same level of care and attention was not reflected in the overall condition and maintenance of the resort. We had been looking forward to our stay and genuinely wanted to enjoy the accommodation we had booked. It was disappointing to arrive and find that the property did not meet our expectations based on how it was advertised resulting in us having to leave Uluwatu due to limited other accommodations available as we had good faith in this resort.
I believe in giving credit where it is deserved, and the receptionist certainly deserves recognition for her kindness and professionalism. I only wish the rest of our experience had been as positive.
Unfortunately, Klapa Resort was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the standard of accommodation advertised on Booking.com.
Upon checking in and inspecting our room, we discovered visible mould on the bathroom blind and walls, dirty and marked interior walls, and an unpleasant stale smell throughout the accommodation. The overall cleanliness and maintenance were concerning, particularly as we had booked expecting a clean, comfortable and well-maintained resort.
The exterior of the property was equally disappointing. The gardens appeared neglected, the security stand was visibly dirty and deteriorating, and several areas of the resort looked run-down and poorly maintained. We were also disappointed by the advertised ocean view, which was significantly affected by surrounding construction and deteriorating buildings that were not clearly disclosed when booking.
What was most frustrating was the difference between the property’s advertised presentation and what we actually encountered. Guests deserve an accurate representation of the accommodation they are paying for, particularly when travelling internationally.
We raised our concerns immediately after inspecting the room and made the decision to leave without staying overnight, as we did not feel comfortable remaining in those conditions.
Despite providing photographic evidence and contacting both management and Booking.com, obtaining a refund has been an ongoing and frustrating process.
I would strongly encourage future guests to carefully consider the condition of this property and review recent guest experiences before booking. Our experience was incredibly disappointing, and I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

It is 3 star hotel facilities. Everything is old and the view was horrible.
Perfect location, staff were friendly mostly
Took 5.5hrs to get our room available when I clearly booked a twin room as per my confirmed booking.com confirmation email. Only to order lunch and wait 50 minutes for cold food before sitting in the hot sun waiting for our room for half the day. When there was minimal guests so no real excuse for the lack of quality service.
