Best Western Refugio Inn

Extremely quiet, room was clean, facility is well maintained.

This is one of the quietest hotels I've ever stayed at and when you're looking for relaxation and a peaceful night's sleep, that is important. The staff is kind and accommodating.

Room had an unpleasant odor.

No staff at front desk. Had to pick phone to call staff. Pool green not maintained correctly. We only stay one night but never saw any front desk agent but when use phone to call.
I plan on staying there next week. Room ok exect tub drain. Pool could not go for a swim.

Hotel was clean and comfortable.

Didnt like that house cleaning was knocking at 10am when checkout is at 11.

They didnt offer a decent late check out time. Checck out was 11 late check out was 11:30. other that I didn't really have any complaints

Customer service was very rude at check in. They didn’t have elevators. Had to go up 2 flights stairs. Not good for seniors.

It was overall so beautiful and amazing place to stay and the breakfast 💜

Only place I’d rather stay while in Refugio unless you have family there.

We have stayed at this hotel in past but this stay was not the best . The card would not read to open the door , had to get it reset multiply times . No one came to look at it .. I would take 10mins to get into the room trying to get the card key to work .

Staff were pleasant. Property and room was clean. Staff said the hotel was not busy but the only rooms available were on the second floor, the stairs were an easy grade but this could be a problem for someone with mobility issues as there is no elevator. Otherwise everything was fine. Breakfast was good.

The property is old but it was clean. The front desk clerk was not that happy to see guest lol. It’s so quiet there I bet guest are not plentiful. It seems like she rather watch tv then greet and be a bit more welcoming to the guest. Felt like we kept her from
watching her favorite tv show. But the hotel served its purpose of a one night stay. It’s a pretty stale environment. The young man was nice. Should have took his name for the review. Not many other choices in Refugio so that’s that!

Was very disappointed when we got to the hotel. It showed it had a pool, but when we arrived the pool was green and nasty. Was really looking forward to the swimming pool. No elevators to the 2nd floor which is not mentioned unless you look at the super fine print under accessibility. The Pillows really suck so make sure you bring your own, did not get a good night sleep and was super stiff the next day. ALSO BEWARE OF THE BREAKFAST. Me and my went down and ate the breakfast I had just cereal thank goodness! My wife ate the breakfast and within the hour was sick and puking it all up. I do NOT recommend this place and will NOT be staying there again. 150$ a night is far from worth it. 50$ a night and I would have expected my stay to be this bad

Everything was good.

I was traveling all day so needed a clean, comfortable room for the night and this BW was great. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room was just what I was hoping for.

Property did not have an elevator to take your luggage up to the second floor had to carry them up the stairs.

We were headed to the beach and were unable to find a room so we opt for a room close enough to drive in the next day. Found this hotel and we were pleasantly surprised! Alice greeted us at the front desk and gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner across the street. The next morning Norma was a complete whirlwind of customer service as she maintained breakfast and took care of departing guest! I travel for work and stay in a lot of hotels. Having employees who care about their jobs is priceless and made our last minute trip to the beach on a holiday weekend well worth it!

The hotel was not bad, no service at the front, got pissed when I asked for extra towels. Overall not worth the money I spent but it is what it is.
