Best Western Plus Manvel Inn & Suites

The first room we were given the air didn’t seem to want to get cold it stayed like 72 and we sleep in the cold. Then we noticed a small roach and didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in that room and requested a new one to which the guy at the front desk was very nice and quick to help with. When we got into the second room all was fine until we left to get food and came back to a bigger, now medium sized, roach right at the door when we walked in. We were tired at this point and just wanted to go to sleep seeing as we were only there for the night, so no big deal. I would’ve gave 4 stars had the manager, who was not available over the weekend, called me after his staff left him a memo to give me a call about the two roaches to see if he could accommodate me for having experienced two separate roaches. When I called them again around Tues-Wed. I was told he had been out of town and would likely return Friday. I still have no received a call and I feel that is very unprofessional.

Mattress were awesome. The only think i did not like is there were no plug close to bed to charge the phone.

The hallway on the second floor smelled like raw sewage and the room smelled moldy. We had to check out a day early due to eyes swelling!

Our TV in our room didn’t work so we had to switch rooms then the ice machine was broken so we had to go to a different floor to get ice. Kids running and screaming all down the halls.

First 2 night was good but the 3rd night we had cockroaches so we left like around 11:30pm to another hotel

Our stay in Manvel was great. My children loved the indoor pool and hot tub. The king size beds were comfy and spacious. Would definitely stay here again.

Room did not feel clean; needs updating. Would not stay here again.

Great staff, nice room and property.

The front desk attendants were amicable and helpful. On the flip side, I thought the temperature of the pool water was too chilly.

Our room and floor smelled terribly of moth balls (probably dichlorobenzene) which they must be using to cover some other smell (i.e. cigarette smoke). Unfortunately, it is a carcinogen, so I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. We arrived too late to ask for a different room.

Also, the window in our room would not lock, so there was a loud sound from the highway which kept us awake.

Fortunately the staff was nice. We didn't get a chance to use the other amenities.
