Great staff and room was huge and nice, plenty of coffee in the room and free breakfast.
The breakfast was not great. No bananas. No hard boiled eggs, cream cheese, bagels. Just powdered eggs (not bad but the only thing I wanted to eat). I get it, it's free, but a best western usually does a bit better than this.
Location with easy access
Spoke with on-site personnel regarding early check-in and was told earliest we could check-in without additional costs was 3 PM. Told them we would arrive at 3 PM, arrived at 3:10 - room was not ready, told me it would be another 40.minutes! After expressing my displeasure given the fact we had spoken over the phone the reluctantly switched us to another room!
* Gute Lage in Autobahnnähe.
* Großes Zimmer.
* Parkplatz vorhanden.
* Ab ca. 5 Uhr morgens war ein sehr lautes Vibrieren zu hören. Zunächst dachten wir, es sei ein Wecker vom Nachbarzimmer. Dadurch wurden wir geweckt und konnten anschließend nicht mehr schlafen. - das Geräusch ist wohl am ehesten die Eismaschine, diese Vibriergeräusch lief pausenlos.
* Die Klimaanlage war extrem laut. Wir mussten sie ausschalten, um überhaupt schlafen zu können.
* Zimmer und Bad wirken sehr alt und wenig einladend eingerichtet, insgesamt sehr minimalistisch.
* Balkon vorhanden, jedoch ohne Stühle, Tisch oder andere Sitzmöglichkeiten, sodass er praktisch nicht nutzbar war.
* Der Pool machte ebenfalls einen alten und lieblosen Eindruck. Zudem lag er am Nachmittag komplett im Schatten.
* Das Frühstück war sehr minimalistisch und bot nur eine geringe Auswahl.
* Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt aus unserer Sicht überhaupt nicht.
Perfect room and setting!
Hotel staff great!
Great location, clean rooms
Poor breakfast, we were party of 15 people and it was hard to have a minimum for the breakfast
Think they are trying to upgrade. Still have some room to be finished. Nice area and stafff, just a little ohld and need some work.
We stayed three nights (5-22 to 5-25-26) for a dog show in nearby Placerville. Trip booked and fully paid a month in advance through Priceline. Everything states dogs are allowed at hotel. When we arrived, we were surprised and disappointed to learn that the hotel RIPS YOU OFF by adding a $25 per night pet fee without making this clear anywhere (we had one small dog, not sure if they charge $25 for EACH dog per night?). Tried unsuccessfully to negotiate the matter with the front desk (manager/owner?). Yet we were told they wouldn't do anything (that this was non negotiable) and to "go ahead and make a complaint to Priceline" (the manager pulled out the typical and tired "you booked through a third party" routine). We DID complain to Priceline, who informed us they would be looking into this deceptive practice by the hotel. Manager was nice to us the rest of our stay since he got an extra $75 from us. Rooms appear recently remodeled but this in an old style MOTEL, where your door leads directly to the (noisy) outside. Room floors and fixtures are dirty and maid staff not really helpful about cleanliness issues. Furniture in rooms worn out (we moved the table out from the wall for a moment and were greeted with a dusty, grimy floor and wall). Behind the hotel is an unfinished dirt lot (which is what our room looked out onto). If they did something with this, it would be a great area for families, pets, etc. Outdoor pool ancient, cold and tiny. Beds are at least comfortable (maybe too soft for some). Two story hotel; be aware that in a first floor room you can hear EVERY SOUND from above (squeaking, footsteps, TV, voices). Had trouble sleeping. Breakfast is just okay (done in the cheapest possible way); only the minimum amount of items put out, but it is ready on time at least (note short serving time of 7-9am daily). Also note that breakfast room is small, and is on second floor (no elevator). In spite of some remodeling, this hotel's best years are clearly behind it. Overpriced, especially when they add in the fake $25 pet fee. Just find something else in Placerville, even though it might be a bit more. Or we will try the Westhaven Inn in Pollock Pines or the Extraordinary Camino Hotel (in nearby Camino, CA) which are surely better options. Mike H / Reno Nevada.
Great location, very clean, very friendly staff! Breakfast was a wonderful offering included in the price as well!
Pool had not been cleaned yet, unheated and no hot tub.
I appreciated the front desk for their friendliness, the room for its cleanliness and the location for value.
Everything was good.
Environnement. Staff sympa.
