Eva Lanka Hotel

Hotel a bit old in regards to room equipment, but staff very nice and supportive! The beach couldn't be better, one of the best beaches I saw in the island! Highly recommended!

Très bel établissement en bord de côte. Séjour dans un superbe chalet vue sur mer. Très belle crique à côté plage de rêve avec cocotier. Excellent service

Krásný resort s krásnou zahradou plnou zvířat (pávi, veverky, opice, varani...).
Moře zde, díky velkým vlnám, není ideální na koupání, ale bazén je s mořskou vodou.
Některé apartmánu jsou starší a opotřebované, ale nabízejí i modernější.
My jsme zde byli v červenci a resort byl téměř prázdný. Díky tomu nefungoval bar na pláži a i některé služby byly omezené. Pro rodiny s dětmi určitě super.

Les + : parc de l’hotel Très calme , éloigné de la route , avec énormément d’animaux sauvages en liberté, 2 piscines et une plage privée magnifique 👌
Les - : repas sur place facturé en dollars , avec des prix plus élevés qu’en ville ou autre...
Aux alentours énormément de belles petites plages peu touristiques.
Déplacement de l’hôtel en tuktuk car route dangereuse , mais prix abordables (300/400 roupies pour rejoindre Tangalle)

Eva Lanka is a great Hotel. We stayed here for 3 days and had a wonderful time. The hotel is located on a hill, entrance gate on top, the beach on the other side, a huge garden in between. Free peacocks (which fly on top of the king palm trees at night to sleep) live here, amongst beautiful flowers.
Make sure you take a chalet, they are spacious, very clean and most have a fantastic view of the sea.
The hotel has two pools, and the beach, so there is more than enough space for everyone. Most of the time we were alone at one of the pools.
The service was also really nice, we were always provided with water bottles and advice when needed.
All in all from day to day we liked the place more, also because it is not just one of those typical standard hospital-like new built hotels, but a place that has its very own charm.

Herrliche Meeresbucht. Gelegenheit zum Schnorcheln. Schöner Hotelpark mit tropischer Vegetation. Hilfsbereites Personal. Leider allzu monotones Frühstück und Abendessen.

Sehr schöner und sauberer Strand im vergleich zu den anderen Stränden, die Anlage ist alt, aber gemütlich. Leider vieles ist defekt, wird aber nicht repariert und wird auch nicht durch neues ersetzt. Das Essen ist immer gleich. Essensbuffet besteht ungefähr aus 7 Hauptgerichten. Ansonsten: sehr gepflegter Garten, schöne Palmen und Bäume.

Where to begin? In a word, paradise. Eva Lanka is, as far as one can tell, paradise. My wife and I arrived on a Saturday evening and were met by the ever smiling and charming manager, Manju. We were issued with delicious welcome drinks then we were escorted to our ocean view chalet by one of the members of staff, all of whom are uniquely attentive, polite, helpful and also charming. The chalet was ideal – a very good size with a big comfortable double bed as well as two singles on which we were able to put suitcases and other travel related detritus. The en suite bathroom was also big with a large shower and generally good fittings. We were in no. 20 which I highly recommend – no passing traffic (of the human variety), a decent and secluded sitting out area, all overlooking a postcard view of the ocean and the smaller of the two beautiful salt water swimming pools.
The hotel itself is set in the most stunning location – a beautiful tropical garden woven with wide pathways which wind down eventually to a small gate which leads to a flight of steps ending on the utterly jaw dropping and largely vacant beach. The upper pool is huge and is adjacent to the beautiful main open air reception area with its adjoining restaurant. Here, ceiling fans spin lazily overhead as you look out over the pool, garden and ocean beyond. At no time were there more than about 6 people using either pool, most of the time it was just us and a couple of others.

Hade kunnat vara så fint! I behov av uppfräschning, trotts nästan fullbokat hotell var vi nästan ensamma i både pool, strand o restaurang. Kändes ödsligt och slitet. Hade varit trevligt med solstolar o parasoller på stranden...

Beach is beautiful, the nicest we've seen in Sri Lanka. Breakfast was good; eggs fruit, bread, tea and coffee.
We stayed in the standard rooms which unfortunately were old and in serious need of renovation. Aside from the curry the dinners were poor and due to the hotels location, options to eat outside of the hotel were limited. I think the hotel could be amazing if the rooms were renovated.

Etwas abseits gelegenes Hotel mit wunderschönen Garten, zwei schönen Swimmingpools und Direktzugang zum Strand. Sehr großzügige Lobby und Essbereich, Essen sehr reichhaltig und gut.
Sehr gute Ayuveda-Massage im sauberen Spa-Bereich

It's a massive place, reception and restaurant area is amazing, the pools are great but there are parts of the hotel site that are a tad tired.
Pretty much a private beach, which is pretty amazing.

What a beautiful hotel! If you want to get away from a stressful life this is the place to go. The gardens on which the hotel is built on is just stunning and the private beach is just pure heaven

Cons
- The Garden View chalet that i got was number 1. It smelled moldy as if it had not been used for a while. The next day after they cleaned it, i was better
- The Chalet i was in needs a fresh coat of paint
- Do not order the Italian food from their restaurant. it is shockingly bad
- Menu items are in USD

Pros
- The Staff are great and helpful
- The fresh juices and Lankan food that i ordered were just great
- Beautiful atmosphere and location

Hotel was very tired. Needed some love and care. Beach looked great but nowhere to swim as waves were so crazy. Hotel is out of town so have to get a tuk tuk anywhere. Owner was nice but the hotel was overpriced and so was the food.
