The room mini bar options are great.
The room service which I have not tried also 24/7 which is great.
Location is close to Soho/Nolita and iconic NY restaurants
I loved the shower.
My room was very small. No space to open the suitcase.
Some parts in the hotel felt outdated and I remembered the hotel and restaurant were very lively many years ago.
Over $500 per night and you provide a paper cups for the Nespresso machine? It feels like best western hotel and not a boutique hotel.
In my opinion - no value for money. Sorry.
Reception area, friendly staff, great location
Room size quite small, even for New York
The location and views
The staff at The Ludlow were always friendly and polite, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, our stay ended on a disappointing note. After enquiring about extending one of our two rooms, I confirmed which room we wanted to keep and mistakenly assumed everything had been arranged. While I accept that I should have checked for a confirmation, no one at reception mentioned that the extension had not been processed, despite several opportunities during our stay.
On our last morning, we discovered we no longer had a room. The one we had originally requested was no longer available, so we had to accept a lower-category room at the last minute, causing us to miss a tour on our final day in New York.
Having stayed in many hotels around the world, I expected a little more care in resolving the situation. While the hotel offered to compensate us on a future stay, I believe the best time to make things right was in the moment. Many international travellers may not return for years, if ever.
Sadly, despite the lovely staff, this experience means we are unlikely to stay at The Ludlow again.
It’s a classic New York spot, I saw celebs in the lobby and the staff were super sweet and helpful.
No WiFi in the room. No coffee or espresso in the room.
Fantastic location, nice bar, lovely terrace and friendly staff
Nitpicking here but the toiletries were a bit feminine (Moroccan rose) for male guests :0)
All things top-notch at the Ludlow Hotel NYC overall! The room, while expected to be small and compact considering I got the smallest category of room, was quite spacious for my needs! I had around three pieces of luggage in tow and they all had their own space without obstructing access. The bed was great, really appreciated the level of care housekeeping had in making sure that all sheets were well presented (clean, ironed etc) for all ten days of my stay. The location of the actual hotel itself was awesome, great eateries nearby for a late night snack, a hearty meal or even a grocery store/CVS run. Also, just a stone throw's away from the vibrant food mecca in the East Village! The reception/concierge team were always happy to help out when requested and were quite discerning especially when I returned to the property quite late in the night after being out on Long Island for an ice hockey game. Budget permitting, the Ludlow Hotel will always be a priority one stay.
I have to say that the downsides was probably the elevator wait time which when timed could sit around 4-5 minutes in busier periods which became an annoying norm especially as a queue formed. From experience and most likely not a viable option here, I do believe that the lifts should operate on a guest-first model as half of time we were often sent to the operational floors of the building. However, hotel maintenance staff were always gracious and accomodating in skipping their floors in order to have guests arrive at their floors first. The reception team were a fun bunch but often kept to themselves with brief and quiet greetings to guests while returning back to their exciting personal conversations. No qualms here though, as I really enjoyed just leaving and coming without the anticipation of small talk which happens at other hotels.
We had a small room - bed was very comfortable
It’s not cheap and there are cheaper options locally if you’re prepared to compromise a bit
The atmosphere and vibe were great. I loved that it was a place people came to hang, work, grab a drink in the lounge area but kept seats available for hotel guests. The room was very comfortable and spacious for an nyc hotel. The hotel had an amazing location and provided the experience we were looking for!
I was a little surprised that I could hear other guests moving around in their room. The elevator wait times could be annoying at times
Lovely views from terrace very friendly and helpful staff
All good
