Four of us stayed for 2 nights to visit the Derwent Valley Mills and area. The boys also played golf. We had very comfortable rooms. The food was delicious for both breakfast and dinner with different menus each night. All staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful at the reception and in the restaurants. In particular the restaurant staff, who were mostly quite young, were well trained and very efficient. Special thanks to Miles who was very attentive to us old fogeys and took great care in his work. Looking forward to visiting Morley Hayes again.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful three-night stay at The Morley Hayes Hotel as a family of four, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff was polite, welcoming and genuinely helpful. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. There’s a real warmth to the service here, and it made such a difference to us, especially travelling with children.

Housekeeping was excellent throughout our stay. Our room was spotless every day, beautifully maintained and incredibly comfortable. The hotel itself feels cosy and well cared for — it had everything we needed as a family and felt like a real home away from home.

A special mention must go to the breakfast team. On one of the mornings, our youngest son was unwell and unable to come down for breakfast. The staff were exceptionally kind and accommodating, helping us arrange breakfast in the room without hesitation. Their understanding and flexibility meant a lot to us at a stressful moment, and it perfectly reflects the level of care shown throughout our stay.

The location was also ideal. Visiting the UK from Dubai, we wanted a comfortable base while catching up with friends and family, and Morley Hayes was perfect. Peaceful, welcoming, and brilliantly positioned — it made the whole trip smooth and enjoyable.

A genuine five-star experience from start to finish. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re home.

Excellent food, staff were everything you could wish for. Couldn't find fault if I tried. Comfortable super king sized bed in a beautiful well equipped room. Enjoyed stay, left relaxed and refreshed.

Attended the recent Robbie Williams tribute night. We were a large group of friends and family celebrating a big birthday and we all had a very enjoyable evening. The Tribute act created a great party atmosphere and encouraged the audience to join in and get onto the dance floor. Food and service as usual for Morley Hayes was excellent and delicious. All in all an excellent night was had by all.

We stayed at Morley Hayes Hotel for our wedding and New Year Eve.
We stayed in an amazing suite which was ideal for what we needed as it was our wedding and family were able to come and sit and chat in the living area.The bed was so comfortable and enormous. In the morning we were served an amazing breakfast having room service for a light lunch in our room later.The staff were really friendly and nothing was to much.
New years Eve fireworks from the hotel were the best we had seen.

Our room was lovely and we had a balcony overlooking the golf course. Our breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh to order. We ate dinner at Roosters Bar and the Dovecote both were very good and we felt they were good value.recommend booking though as they get busy.

The room was large clean and very comfortable Room was re stocked and cleaned during our stay Dinner was in The Dovecote restaurant which was excellent Special menu created for my dietary requirements There was everything to choose from for breakfast and was plentiful
