El apartamento está muy bien. Grande. Nuevo.
My Mint House studio felt much more like living in a an ideal NYC apartment than staying in a hotel. It was pretty spacious, and you have a mini kitchen area so coffee, and whipping up bout anything is easy.
I honestly slept better there than in many apartments I’ve lived in.
The real surprise was the building itself and I guess even moreso to me, cause after living in New York most of my life, I somehow didn’t know about this Art Deco tower on Pine Street (70 Pine), which was once one of the 3 tallest buildings in the world. Inside, it’s extremely well maintained and thoughtfully modernized without losing its character. And the building houses “Overstory” a cocktail bar up top which has one of the best views of the city you’ll ever see.
The neighborhood was another surprise.
Easy to to get a little lost in a good way, as in literally stumbling NYC’s oldest bar, Fraunces Tavern (hopefully not stumbling out), also the Seaport, ferries along the East River, and lots of small restaurants and tucked-away shops.
So, it feels off the grid nut it’s not, in it’s very connected—-the Fulton Street subway hub is just a short walk away, with most if the major lines in that one hub that get you to up to Midtown quick.
But the best for me would be a scenic walk to from Wall Street (right around the corner) to Battery Park, all the ferry boats, Tribeca, Chinatown, Lower East Side, SoHo, or the Village within 10–40 minutes strolls.
.
Great customer service! Rooms were very spacious and clean!
Le confort des lits et la grandeur des chambres/studios. Le lieu géographique tellement bien situé et à proximité du ferry pour aller à Brooklynn.
Rien.
They have charged me $10000USD for a $3000USD reservation.
Everything! From the moment we checked in "T" was fantastic. She was helpful checking us in quickly after a long journey. Room was HUGE for NY standards. Very clean. So handy to have a laundry in the hotel. Location was amazing.
Nothing.
Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und das Zimmer war super schön und geräumig
Der Eingang ist nicht der schönste, aber das Apartment hat alles wieder gut gemacht.
Staff, easy to check in and out, reactive to any request, very clean as very few places can be!
We had a studio with a kitchen but no table. I have requested one (even small) but there was no available. That was a big miss as we chose the option with a kitchen to have meals at the property.
An amazing stay, perfect location, excellent amenities (laundry was particularly helpful). Spotlessly clean. The building has so much character and charm. A special mention for Jasime on the front desk who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was magical.
We stayed at Mint House at 70 Pine (operated by Kasa) and overall had a very strong experience—especially by New York City standards, where “space” is usually the first luxury to disappear. Our unit was genuinely large, and for the price point (which was comparable to many standard-sized NYC hotels), the value was outstanding.
The layout felt more like a well-designed apartment than a typical hotel room: a full-size refrigerator, kitchen with dishwasher, and a comfortable seating area made it easy to settle in. The separate sleeping area with a pullout couch also created real privacy for other family members, which is rare to find in the city without paying a premium. There was even a large walk-in closet that, in NYC terms, could practically qualify as another room.
Check-in was straightforward, and it’s clearly designed to be done online. I didn’t complete the online step ahead of time because I was briefly confused by the deposit options ($60 non-refundable vs. $250 refundable, which I assume functions as a security/damage deposit). That part is probably on me—had I done it in advance, I expect arrival would have been even quicker.
My only meaningful concern is the no-key system. Instead of keys/cards, you’re given a six-digit code that’s used both to access your floor via the elevator and to enter your room. In practice, that means you’re entering your room code in public, within view of anyone standing nearby. We actually encountered a situation where a stranger appeared poised to follow us into the elevator, and I chose to step back into the lobby rather than type the code with someone watching. I appreciate the convenience of a code-based system, but using the same code in an exposed setting and then again at the room door feels like an avoidable security vulnerability—especially in a city where situational awareness matters.
That said, this was still an excellent stay: spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and a genuinely good value for NYC. If Kasa adjusts the access system (or adds a more secure option), this place would be close to a slam dunk. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to friends—particularly anyone traveling with family or who simply wants room to breathe in Manhattan.
The hotel was very clean and accommodating. Came in for one night solo to see my new grandchild and the front lobby staff were so polite and showed me to my room and even brought me a wine bottle opener to open my wine I bought from the grocery store on the corner from
The hotel. It’s in the same building as my daughter’s apartment and didn’t have to leave at all while there visiting. Definitely will
Stay there again!
The host was very polite and responded quickly to my messages. The property was very clean and conveniently located near everything
