Cordialidade do Antônio, recepcionista português.
Etage. Besser geht’s nicht. Sehr freundlicher Service. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Am Abend in der Bar tolle Cocktails. Dankeschön!
A very traditional Swiss hotel, family owned. A nice welcome. Lovely views from the restaurant over the lake. Furniture etc., a little faded but quite common in traditional hotels. Our room have a very nice bathroom, comfortable bed, nice view over the lake.
Didn't realise we had to walk up a steep bank which was quite icy with our suitcases. The receptionist later told us they had a shuttle and we used it on the way back to the station. I personally found it quite difficult walking up and down. On the plus side the views from the hotel were lovely, looking out over the frozen lake.
Our room was large and comfy but we were more or less in the basement next to the laundry. Although it was a nice room, the location didnt feel great.
We booked a table for 7.30, took 40 mins to get a drink and take our order. Staff were then setting up for the next day when we were finishing off our food, we experienced similar at breakfast where a lot of the tables were reserved. Some of the tables were being set up straight away so you couldnt sit there either. Self serve, the quality was fine with a good choice, no service and coffee wasnt great out of the machine.. The waiters were friendly enough but very busy.. Food was ok. Service not too good.
We found it hard to get served in the bar. The service wasnt great.
The room and bathroom were excellent. Bathroom had a great rain shower and dimmable lights that could be used during the night. Spacious vanity, modern fixtures. Very comfortable beds, and we had a view of the lake (which we requested). Breakfast was included and was quite impressive. The staff was very friendly. Easy access to trails around the lake.
It was a bit difficult to find the hotel from the train station. We made it harder than it was (there is a shorter way there through a tunnel that puts you very close to the hotel). It wasn't clear to us, and we walked around with our luggage trying to find the way there in the snow. It also wasn't clear where the front entrance itself was, and we had to pull our luggage up a steep drive. That could use some improvement - either directions or easier access to the front entrance or both. Not necessarily a good idea to walk from the train with your luggage in the winter.
The hotel was in a wonderful position overlooking the lake, yet close to the station so could not be better situated.
Nothing
Lovely hotel
shuttle pick up was a nightmare don’t rely on them.
It’s a great location
The rooms are horrifically hot, the pillows are non existent and we asked for more but got told housekeeping have gone home so I’m not sure. The room was so expensive for a box room, there are better in St Moritz.
