Manta Dive Resort Gili Air

Clean room and amazing staff. Arranged pre booked fun diving class before arrival. There’s a lot of shopping and dining options nearby and it’s close to the fast boat harbour.

Vi havde desværre en meget skuffende oplevelse på Manta Dive Hotel Gili Air.

Morgenmaden var ringe og kedelig, med meget lidt udvalg.

Servicen var beskidt, og hytterne samt omgivelserne fremstod slidte og dårligt vedligeholdt.

Toilettet havde en dårlig skyllefunktion, og poolen var beskidt.

Håndklæderne lugtede surt, og lagnerne fremstod gullige.

Sengen (briksen) var enorm hård og ubehagelig at sove i.

Personalet virkede ikke imødekommende – ingen smil, og da vi bad rengøringsdamen om ekstra poolhåndklæder, vendte hun øjne af os.


Alt i alt et ophold vi ikke kan anbefale, og som på ingen måde levede op til forventningerne.

Hotels.com blev kontaktet men kunne ikke hjælpe hvilke vi virkelig også blev skuffet over

Perfect location right by the beach, snorkelling area with turtles is basically on your doorstep. The bungalow was nice and cozy, the open bathroom however invited some animals into our apartment. Staff was very nice and helped us to organise diving and snorkeling tours.

Virkelig sødt og hjælpsomt personale. Fine, lyse værelser. Fantastisk strand. Fin morgenmad med lidt valgmuligheder. Anbefaler klart dette sted på Gili Air!

Excellent séjour, hébergement très bien, personnel sympa et disponible. Accès direct à une plage magnifique, idéale pour du snorkeling, logement très bien en terme de confort propreté et avec beaucoup de charme

Great place to stay especially if you're a diver or snorkeler. Everything you need is close by. The next door neighbor, Santorini, is the closest to real Greek food we've had since being in Greece.

Rob hosted us for 2 days. I immediatly tell you I give to this place 10/100.
Clean and big rooms, super good breakfast inclueed, chance to organize diving sessions to ser manta rays and super fancy buildings.
The last day our boat risked not to leave and Rob immediatly told us e had a cuple of free rooms to book at the very last minute (luckly in the end we managed to leave the island in time).

We loved that you could snorkel straight out front of accommodation. Bungalows had everything you needed. Staff at restaurant were so friendly. You were always greeted with a huge smile. They answered our questions about Gili Air and were very helpful with anything you needed. Close walk from port. Would definitely stay here again.

Room was cute and clean. The bed was very firm and not the most comfortable (but I like soft beds and pillows). Sitting area by the pool was nice. We only had breakfast at the hotel, so can't comment on the rest. The breakfasts were decent though

I had a great week at Manta. The rooms are basic but all you need for a beachside scuba escape. The staff make the place. So friendly and helpful.
For me the area that could be improved would be the pool areas. Both that I saw seem a bit tired / dirty and not inviting. I know at the time they were working on the area around the main pool but this means that the second pool should be kept really well so guests feel like using it.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt im Manta Dive Resort auf Gili Air! Alles war in bester Ordnung, die Bungalows sauber und gemütlich. Das Personal war super nett, immer hilfsbereit und hat sich um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert. Die Lage direkt am Meer ist perfekt, und die Tauchbasis ist top organisiert. Absolut empfehlenswert

Manta Dive is a perfect place to stay. Property right on beach and close to restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful 10/10.

Manta resort was perfect for what we needed, an oceanfront accommodation that offered a way to do laundry, rent bikes, any sort of water activity, and much more!

Two pools, restaurant, and a nice variety for breakfast!

Everything on the island is quite walkable/bikeable so it’s not hard to find something in the area. The property was mostly clean, but being that the bathroom was outside - bugs were prevalent and it seemed easy for them to get in the room. I wished that the hotel offered bicycles to get around.
The room was pretty bare minimum, a bed and some shelves with a bathroom.

Vi havde et rigtig fint ophold på Manta Dive. Personalet er utrolig gæstfrie og hjælpsomme og deres dykkerinstruktører/guider er super professionelle. En stor anbefaling af dette dykker center. Værelserne fungerer upåklagelig og det er super praktisk at bo samme sted som man dykker. Hvis man ikke dykker ville vi nok vælge at bo et andet sted.

Vi havde booket en uges ophold i en lille hytte. Fin udsigt, fantastisk service, god mad, dejlig atmosfære. Vi dykkede næsten hver dag. Vores guider var meget professionelle, og det var meget sikkert. Der var gode spisesteder lige ved siden af, og let til andre serviceydelser. Hestevognstrafikken er desværre blevet alt for dyr. Da der ikke er motorkøretøjer på øen, er man nødt til at benytte hestevognene. Vi har været der to gange tidligere og prisen er nu næsten 3-doblet på tre år.

Hyggeligt lille hotel med et meget venligt personale. Dygtige dykker instruktører ansat som var gode til at tilpasse dykkene til de forskellige niveauer folk havde. Vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage!

Where to start?
We were warmly greated when we arrived and shown to our amazing room. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow with an outside shower looking up to the sky! The room was beautiful and cool with everything we needed and so comfortable. The pools are stunning with beautiful flowers and trees everywhere. Always a sunbed to use as most people are out diving or exploring the beautiful island.
Diving!!! Wow! I was really scared about this but the staff were fantastic they gave me so much confidence and excitement that from being not sure about even breathing underwater I managed to complete my open water course and even do a deep dive!!! Seeing the most amazing things being in a natural fish tank seeing turtles swimming around me Beautiful fish and the odd very small and actually cute shark! I will definitely be doing my advanced next time.
Staff!!! Like my family. They were all so warm and friendly we had the best time with them laughing and learning I will never forget each and everyone of them. I've never been to such a friendly resort and we will be returning alot! Starting next year. We've got hooked on diving and fell in love with the island!
