Comfortable beds, but disappointing kitchen & space
Pros:

The beds and mattresses were very comfortable for resting.

Cons:

For an apartment, the kitchen was poorly equipped: the fridge was tiny (minibar size) and there were very few utensils. The kettle had rust and, although we reported it several times, it couldn't be replaced with a proper one. Additionally, the space was quite small compared to similar properties at the same price point in Gold Coast.

Pros:

Best location in Bendigo, by the lake.
Clean with breakfast as an option.

Cons:

Only downside for me, the shower head wasn't the best in our family room (two separate bedrooms)
water didn't come out properly with a normal stream
Pillows very high and uncomfortable
But that's just my personal opinion. The res cof my family didn't complain about them ;)

Good value for money, would stay again
Pros:

The location was good and lots of parking available.

Cons:

Noisy at night with other guests in the car park. The restaurant closing at 8pm which seemed quite early for a weekend.

Pros:

Service was incredible, hotel has been recently renovated in the rooms spacious clean and comfortable. Food at dinner was great.

Clean and tidy but expensive for basic room.
Pros:

The room was very basic but very well presented and clean

Cons:

There was no microwave and very few comfort amenities - for the price which was around $250 a night I would have expected more.

Clean, renovated, good location.
Pros:

Room was nice inside. Staff were welcoming. Ample parking. Clean. Good location but on main road.

Cons:

Was hoping for a room in the main hotel that was pictured, instead got a room in an old but renovated motel next to it. Was OK, just not what I was expecting based on the advertising.

Not quite what we expected.
Pros:

Nice room. Good property location (but not our room)

Cons:

We booked this hotel weeks ago and chose this hotel because of its location near the lake. We foolishly thought we would get a room with a view of the lake like a lot of the photos on the website.
We asked for a room high up and with nice views but got first floor. Reception told us we would have city views. Our view was of the car park and directly opposite the vet with many barking dogs!
Also, on arrival, we were informed that due to there being a public holiday in our stay, that the rooms were not serviced therefore we had to go to reception to get extra tea, coffee and sugar; towels not replaced and the room not made up. Additionally, the restaurant was closed for breakfast. I think it would have been nice if the hotel offered some kind of good will gesture and provided something complimentary given the circumstances. We stay at a lot of hotels and something is usually on offer if the guests get something less than what is advertised or expected. A wine, chocolates, a discount, etc... would have made us feel that they cared that we missed out on some of their services.
