Casa Geranio is an absolute gem! We stayed for 5 night in the Carioca Suite and it was more beautiful than the photos convey. The place is beautifully designed. Claudio and Gabriel are very generous hosts. I can honestly say that the serve the best hotel breakfast I have ever had. Staying five days meantbthat we could see how much care went into it, different serveware and table dressings, different smoothies, cakes fruit salad, eggs, charcuterie... it was amazing. We also appreciated Claudio's recommendations on things to do- it meant we had experiences in Rio that we otherwise would have not. Thank you so much!

Todos os funcionários eram muito educados e engajados a nos ajudar. Todos os problemas foram resolvidos. O quarto era muito bonito e confortável, com roupas de cama e toalhas de extrema qualidade. A localização é excelente para quem quer se afastar da loucura do RJ, além de proporcionar belas vistas do alto da cidade.
O único ponto de melhoria no quarto é o espaço do box do banheiro, que é um pouco apertado. A entrada é de difícil acesso (excesso de escadas), portanto pessoas com mobilidade reduzida teriam dificuldades para acessar a propriedade. O ponto que mais deixou a desejar na nossa opinião foi o café da manhã. Como a modalidade não é self-service e não há um cardápio pré-estabelecido, ficamos a mercê do que temos disponível naquele dia sem a possibilidade de escolha. Isto na minha opinião fomenta o desperdício e não dá muita flexibilidade para o hóspede, podendo ser um problema para pessoas com restrições alimentares.
Gastvrijheid van de eigenaar en personeel. Ontbijt was leuk met veel oog voor detail. Het huis was op een hele mooie manier tegen een berg aan gebouwd, iets wat je niet vaak ziet. Ook hebben ze twee leuke honden.
Warm water duurt wat lang om te krijgen maar dan moet je gewoon even wachten.
The hotel is beautiful - what you would expect from a small Boutique style hotel.
The shower was not very hot and was a bit weak. Also I missed a good expresso in the morning.

J’ai tout aimé :
- le petit déjeuner est fabuleux, le meilleur repas que j’ai mangé au Brésil
- le personnel est bienveillant; disponible, aux petits soins
- je me suis sentie comme chez ma tatie qui aime recevoir
- la décoration est magnifique
- le service de ménage est parfait.
- la communication est facile et rapide
- l’aspect nature en plein cœur du centre ville
- la localisation
- les singes qui sont bien traités et qui s’approchent le matin
J’ai fait des dizaines voire centaines d’hôtels dans le monde et c’est l’un de mes préférés à coup sûr. Dommage qu’on ne puisse pas mettre plus de 10/10 pour ce type d’établissement hors norme. Si j’ai la chance de revenir à Rio je réserverai cet hôtel et je le conseillerai à tous les gens que je connais. Tout est pensé et réfléchi pour le confort du client, rien n’a été oublié, chapeau!

Attention, il y a pas mal d’escaliers donc pas d’accès PMR mais ça vaut le coup.
Atmosphere, setting, superb breakfastv
The room was less quiet than I had hoped. Close to the street where you hear the cars on the cobblestones. Nothing they can do about but less quiet than I had hoped.
The breakfast was great.
The location is a bit far and rough area. No lifts so high hike upstairs. Limited facilities like no hot water for tea or coffee. We had to carry our own luggage to the bottom as there is nobody around early in morning and we did advise that we were leaving early.
Het is er prachtig, schoon en de mensen zijn ongelofelijk vriendelijk.
Het was voor ons perfect. Niets op aan te merken.
