Keegan's Beachside

Visited Keegan’s, now named Gracie’s for lunch with friends.
The service all around was terrible. Each one of the team members blaming the other for mistakes and making excuses. Not a single effort made from management to apologize or offer to make things right. Management needs to reevaluate how staff is being, or not being trained sooner than later. Things are going downhill quickly!

The staff are attentive and wonderful!! The beach across the street is the best on Bequia! Taxis are plentiful and can be called by the hotel

We ordered 3 lobster meals at over 100 EC dollars each which we were eagerly awaiting. When the meals came, the lobsters were overcooked and dry.

When we
complained, we were totally ignored by the waitresses and when asked to speak with the manager we were told that she was too busy and couldn't come to us. Their attitude was not good. They did not charge us for the lobster meals in the end but I will not be going there again.

Had the most amazing time staying in the Sea Breeze apartment at the Keegans Hotel.
I had previously only really done day trips from my parents home on the mainland, but it was my partners first visit to SVG, so a longer stay was in order.
We arrived early and were still able to get straight into the room as its off season. Whilst the lock was a little fidly to operate, that was the only downside to the air conditioned room.
The room was well equipped with plenty of storage space. Our host showed us around the room and how things operated.
There is a large bed, sofa, fully equipped kitchen space and dining area.
From that, you can get to the bathroom, which features an outdoor shower. There is a porthole in the shower giving views of the sea, and from the shower itself, you can look up at the stars.
From the main room, you have two access points to the wraparound balcony where you have great views of the bay, but privacy from the beach area.
Both UK and US mains sockets are available, along with a few USB ports.
We had planned to split meals between the restaurant and town, but had such good service and food that we ate at the restaurant each day, the only time we ate in town was for breakfast before getting the ferry to the mainland at Maria's, and were provided with a full English breakfast that left a lot to be desired.
But back to the restaurant at Keegans. Firstly to give praise to Mel who looked after us and provided recommendations, and also to the owner. We had extremely nice local food from the daily specials cooked to perfection, even when we didn't want to eat at lunchtime, they put aside food so we could eat at our leisure in the evening.
It was a weekend so we also got to sample the bbq.
Definitely worth another stay, I enjoyed this more than a previous stay at the Bequai Beach Hotel.

Just returned this past Wednesday. Spent only 6 days here. Wish it had been longer.
I highly recommend this location. Food and drinks amazing. But the staff that we had were outstanding.A shout out to Glen, William and Melissa. Thank you chef for the curry chicken and roti.
I stayed in the Sea spray room, which is down the beach from the main location. Beautiful view, great comfy bed and outdoor shower. Overall, a great experience.

Keegan’s is a perfect beach destination. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This hotel has everything you need from the rooms, on site restaurant and bar. The views are amazing and the beach is steps away. We will be staying there again.

we stayed here for our second week and due to the hurricane and few months earlier there was damage and builder on site the bad point not breakfast untill at midday and no drinks on offer till everything opened we had coffee on first day then told there dont offer anymore the air con not very good had to get a fan which helped a lot the drink served very fast food once again very slow some people who booked mail had to have it boxed to take away with them due to slowness the beach is very lovely and the bar right next to it. my partner loved to walk along the beach as very quiet. if you like to try different rums the bar offers over 80+.

I went to Keegan's for lunch as it was highly recommended by friends...located on lower bay on the Grenadine island of Bequia on a beautiful white sand beach, nice relaxing area for a seabath with calm waters, a few almond trees aligned the beach for some shade

The food was delicious and quite filling...the tuna salad and conch fish cakes is a must try....customer service was friendly and welcoming...a cool place to relax for a rest stop with good wifi, it was quite charming and felt safe...definitely a visit when in Bequia.

Keegans gas grown over the years and its easy to see why- beachside location, good food, friendly service and good prices. The room was clean and well stocked, the semi- outside shower was interesting.
Only niggle was the sun loungers, a bit hard and one of them collapsed under me
I recommend the full breakfast to set you up for a day of doing nothing

We ate lunch and dinner several days during late February into March. The Saturday night barbecue was great value and delicious. We had super chicken and a first for us; pig’s tail… which was surprisingly tasty and meaty… they don’t serve before 1830 because for pig’s tail its twirly… get it.. too early!
It is a busy beach bar and the waiting staff are extremely friendly… but be patient… the kitchen is small so at busy times, there might be a wait.. however the view and proximity to the crystal water of Lower Bay makes for great vibes and tranquility. The sunsets were amazing. Take Fatman Taxis from port Elizabeth… simple de best man!

My wife, two sister in laws and myself went here for lunch. We all shared chicken wings and a salad to start. Salad was decent and the wings were passable. One sister in law had French fries which were OK. Other sister in law had the fried chicken with fries, which she said was horrible. My wife had the cheese burger and fries. Once again Fries were good but the burger reminded me of a very low budget Italian meatball.
(50% breadcrumb 50% beef).I had the shark burger. Never had shark before so I just wanted to try it. I guess I probably picked the wrong place to do this. Picture a piece of fish that was pounded down like a chicken or veal cutlet. Dip it in batter and deep fry. All I tasted was the batter. On the bright side, service was nice for island time. Beer's were nice and cold, atmosphere was nice. Would not be going back.

The service the restaurant was awful.
It took hours before my order was served. When it finally came it wasn't what l had ordered.
The room had not been cleaned when l returned in the evening. Instead of taking cups from the bottom of the stack, l saw the bar tender do the opposite. So his fingers touched the rims of the cups he was using to serve drinks to the guests.

I had a wonderful stay at Keegan’s Beachside Hotel! Everything was Perfect! The location, ocean view room, friendly staff, and peacefulness was wonderful. I enjoyed going to the beach daily, having a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks. Also, reading, writing, and going for walks. The internet works well and the room has a good AC for cooling down after the beach. The Princess Margaret Beach Trail is walking distance. There are cabs available that will take you anyplace you want to go on the island. This is a wonderful place to stay in Beautiful Bequia. I highly recommend Keegan’s Beachside Hotel. ❤️🏝️❤️

Went to the restaurant only, had BBQ ribs, seasoned rice and pasta salad, had the pudding with ice cream for dessert. Food was good, However food is served on plastic plates. I know they right on the beach but so are many others that serve on normal plates, cutlery was very flimsy also. Prices are reasonable for what it is. Would go back as food was good

This hotel was perfect for us. The price per night was in our budget, and great value considering the location and facilities! There were sunbeds you could use in the day, aircon in the room to cool down, and a happy hour to enjoy watching the sunset (5EC for a rum punch was our favourite!)
On our final night we chose to stay and eat for dinner as the hotel was throwing a BBQ beach party with Dj. The music was so good all night and the food was delicious. However, the only downside of our experience was the micro-managing of the owner on the night of the BBQ party who seemed to unnecessarily ruin the mood of the staff, as before they were happy and doing a great job as usual.
A special thanks to all the staff at the hotel who made us feel at home, always smiling and were great fun.

We stayed in a wonderful apartment called Sea Breeze. Separate to the main complex up some steep steps so not right for everyone. But right overlooking the water. Moments from Lower Bay beach. :)

So well equipped. Clean. Room cleaned and fresh linens every 2 days. Wonderful friendly staff.

Private Plunge pool. Outdoor shower. Nice balcony with chairs overlooking the ocean. Perfect for chilled breakfasts post the morning swim!

Really couldn’t fault it.

We spent the first three nights of our ten night stay on Bequia at Keegan's. It is very basic with a few nicks and dings but was clean and comfortable and everything worked, including AC. After spending most days out and about it was enjoyable to return to shower and cool off before heading to their dining room/bar areas (there are two). Even though there was a large party of 18 while we were staying there and may have stretched the limits of staff, we never felt ignored. In fact, when we checked into our other accommodation we returned that night for Keegan's Saturday evening BBQ almost like returning home! We just prefer the ambience of Lower Bay to PM or Port Elizabeth. A big shout out to Sharon, Desrick, Chelsea, Conroy, Juliette and Jeanette. They all provided excellent and friendly service. Highly recommend for those looking for basic accommodations and a chill, kick-back ambience.

Keegans is a great option for those wishing to kick back, enjoy the sun and gorgeous beach at Lowe Bay. Staff friendly and eager to please, front desk amazing, wait staff fun friendly and service oriented.

I must stress and point out that we didn’t stay here, we only ate the restaurant. Dreadful service, food took 50 minutes to arrive, no apology for the wait. Food was awful. We asked for bill twice and had to resort to going across the road and pay ourselves, waitress didn’t even really acknowledge us. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
