The historic nature of the hotel.
The facility was undergoing a minor renovation, so the location of the complementary breakfast was very chaotic
Close to UVA WISE, Staff is very nice. Rooms are large. Comfortable beds, showers are amazing
Too many outlets plugged in at breakfast so it tripped the breaker to work microwave/toaster/ waffle iron, breakfast was not as good as usual. AC in room is not connected to the thermostat. TVs are so old, rhe colors are burnt into the screens so its hard to see the screen. Hopefully the new owners fix all of these small problems
The staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Staff told us where we could go for dinner walking distance. A really neat place to stay.

Great location!
We’ve stayed here multiple times, but it seems like the service has declined. Our bathroom still had mildew all over the bathtub walls and the sink wouldn’t drain. The bedding was clean, but the room seemed a little musky. Hopefully, the staff will make adjustments.
Nice water pressure for showers, staff was very inviting and nice, close to UVA Wise Stadium for football, beds were decent

I loved everything! It was extremely clean, I loved the history as well and I love the staff there ! Brian, Sandra , and Alexa went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the best ever !!

Breakfast was bland. Toaster didn't work. Microwave was on his last leg. This hotel has been much better in years past.
The room we stayed in looked like they made a room out of the hallway. Television did not work. Bed was hard as a rock. Disappointing trip as this hotel has been great in years past.
