Pros:

Breakfast area was nice, overall pleasant stay, staff friendly, perfect location, just enough parking.

Cons:

Toilet had a slight leak during our stay. It was minor and probably just a one-off issue. Shower head had an intermittent drip also.

Carmel Bay View is a terrific hotel and very close to all the Carmel sites

Carmel is lovely, and this is a great place to stay to experience it.
Pros:

The location is great! It is such a walkable town, that it is great to be able to park a car and leave it and go out on foot.
We were close to the beach/shops/restaurants, which made our stay even more memorable!

Cons:

The rooms were clean, but there was a really strong detergent smell that we couldn't get rid of, even with the window/screen door open all day.

great location, helpful staff, rooms updated would make a big difference.
Pros:

Location, size of room good, breakfast ok, could use better yogurt and croissants and some fresh fruit. Rooms need a good cleaning, and could use a makeover, update.

Cons:

carpet old and dirty, rooms need to be updated, separate fan in bathroom that doesn't come on when you turn light on

Excellent value for money. Clean, comfortable rooms, and a very reasonable price.
Pros:

Very good hotel for one night close to Hearst Castle. The rooms are large and well equipped and the beds are comfortable. The lady (owner) who welcomed us was adorable and super efficient (including cookies and little toys for the kids).

Cons:

Breakfast is simple but fine. You have to drive to Cambria to find good cafés and restaurants (less than 10 minute drive, however).
