Great place for a good price
Pros:

This was my second stay at Lamplighter and the second stay was as good as the first. The property is clean and they do nice upkeep on the grounds and buildings. The bed was comfortable and the location was perfect.

Cons:

I would love it if the breakfast had some other hot breakfast items - such as scramble eggs, bacon, sausage. They do have waffles which are yummy but more protein options would be great.

We were very comfortable and enjoyed our one-night at the hotel.
Pros:

The breakfast room was nice. There were waffles, cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, oatmeal, coffee and juice. I would have liked having hot potatoes and eggs, but the breakfast was sufficient. The rooms were very clean and neat.

Cons:

Not having a hot breakfast with eggs, bacon, and potatoes! I would have liked having a microwave oven in the room. I could not make my own cup of tea in the room. (coffee makers always have the taste of coffee).

For an overnight stop in the city of San Diego, this hotel was a nice place to stay at.

CLEAN, great value for money. Very happy with our stay !!!
Pros:

We were upstairs, which was nice to look out over to the roses & pool area.
Handy to a bar over the road, an OP shop just down the way & restaurant next door.
Was great to be out of the city hub.
The kitchen & cleaning staff were lovely, the room was 10/10 clean !
Would happily stay here again & recommend

Cons:

The only thing I would have wanted was an electric jug in the room.

Another very comfortable, pleasant stay.
Pros:

I've stayed there many times. The location is great for my needs and it's a nice place with a good breakfast and is fairly priced.

Cons:

I had ants in the bathroom and a tub faucet that needed to be adjusted, but they were promptly taken care of, so it really wasn't a problem.

I was very disappointed in how Booking.com handled the reservation. I don't really know why I booked through them... I've always before booked directly with the Lamplighter, and will be sure to do it in the future!
