Everything was great. The only issue was the room smelt like a campfire.

Beautiful and relaxing!
Pros:

What a beautiful area for a retreat! It's so relaxing to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the ocean right outside. It's in a remote area, so the internet is somewhat spotty ... but who needs internet when you have the ocean outside your door!

Beautiful scenery
Pros:

We went to Cavalier Oceanfront during my husband’s birthday week, and we absolutely had a blast! The location is stunning—perched right on the cliff with a breathtaking oceanfront view. Waking up and looking out over the ocean was truly unforgettable.
The staff were amazing from start to finish. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even more special. A big thank you as well to the team in the Cavalier Kitchen—the food and service were fantastic.
Thank you all for helping make our trip so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful view, recommend for a couple getaway
Pros:

The view

Cons:

First room had ants in the bathroom and we were moved to another room

Only option for ocean view suite was a king size bed. Option for 2 full sized beds would be nice to have. Not everyone that stays there is a “couple”

Pros:

Always such an amazing experience at Cavalier. It’s so beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. The staff is so friendly and the rooms are so cozy. Absolutely love it here!

Wonderful experience all around
Pros:

A wonderful experience for anyone wanting a quiet and relaxing stay on the coast. The in-room fireplaces are a delight to cozy up to, and the cliffside fire pits are a treat to roast smores and meet fellow travelers around a campfire! The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable, and the staff is very outgoing and helpful. Would highly recommend a stay at this property!

We had a lovely time in this beautiful location.
Pros:

The beauty and serenity of the landscape cannot be matched! It was quiet and we slept well.

Cons:

Our room could have been cleaner! It is getting kind of worn out. There was hair in the tub and my socks were very dirty after walking on the carpet in them.

Cons:

There was a "Mini-bar and snack drawer" that had no price list. No heater in room but had a fireplace and some presto logs. No refridgerator or microwave for guest use.

Cozy rooms, great views.
Pros:

We enjoyed the beautiful property and the comfortable beds. The fireplace, balcony, and soft robes were a very nice addition. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I appreciate that the front desk is 24/7.

Cons:

I wish the facilities were a bit more updated. The TV was still on satellite so the connection was spotty, although we mostly used it for background noise. Just something to note. It would have also been nice if there was a microwave as well as vending machines that worked due to nothing being open late. Again, very minor gripes. The only issue making me hesitant to visit in the summer is that there is no A/C, only a heater.

Dog-Friendly Coastal Stay
Pros:

Great stay during a coastal road trip with dogs! A lot of space to take them for walks and one of the few places that doesn’t charge extra for them. The staff was very friendly, the rooms have everything you need, and the gym was better than a lot of hotel gyms. The restaurant even has a dog menu! Close to beautiful Cambria and Hearst Castle. Would stay again!

Our dogs love it too

Cons:

The toilets are ridiculously low and not up to current seat height, standards making it more challenging for older folks like us.
The walkway and potted plants out in front of the long main ocean view building need planting and a good steam cleaning on the walkway

Pros:

Location is great but hotel is old and desperately needs updated. This could be a great spot.. but major changes need to be made before it is worth the cost.

Beautiful nature!
Pros:

It's a stunning environment, hardly any other area can compare to it.

Cons:

The carpets were filthy.
I had a hard time falling asleep due to the awful odor of the carpet.
I had a hard time even walking on it barefoot.

couples and friends get away
Pros:

Great location, beautiful and comfortable room with great views. we were in town for blend fest will stay here again. on site diner had great food. we had the romantic package with champagne and charcuterie board it was beautiful.
