A just ok hotel but no air conditioning !!!
Pros:

The staff were excellent, very very helpful and happy people. The hotel had it's own private parking , be sure to book though.
It's in an ideal position to visit the sights and local bars and restaurants.
Breakfast was ok.
Plenty of hot water and a darned good shower with lifts to the various floors.
Double double glazing made for a quiet room if you are given a roadside room.

Cons:

The hotel needs a refurb, it's tired, but the big thing to worry about is the lack of air conditioning throughout and wow, it gets hot.

We booked a deluxe king room, but were disappointed with the size/comfort of the room. Facilities a little dated. We stayed on one of hottest days of the year and unfortunately, with no Airconditioning, the room was uncomfortably hot

Nous étions de passage mais n’aurions pas pu rester plus longtemps.
Pros:

Petit déjeuner très bien mais le reste très compliqué.

Cons:

Vue cour, pas de possibilité d’ouvrir la fenêtre car la cour était au niveau de la chambre, chaleur étouffante et pas d’AC, pas de bouteille d’eau dans les chambres

Horrible experience and very unaccommodating place!!
Pros:

DO NOT STAY HERE! I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to warn other travelers.

This hotel was an enormous disappointment. We visited during a major heat wave, and there was no air conditioning. Far worse, is that this was not clearly disclosed when we booked nor was it communicated to us as it became known there was a major heat wave going through France (one that has killed several hundreds across Europe). The room felt over 100°F (38°C) and completely unbearable. A family member has a condition that makes them prone to fainting and this was just not going to work for us. It would be impossible to sleep or even comfortably stay in the room to relax .

To make matters worse, our sauna of a room didn’t have TOILET PAPER when we checked in.

The parking situation was also frustrating. It was difficult to find (with again no advance warning that there is construction around the property), and we later learned that the garage closes at 10:00 p.m. with no access to your vehicle afterward. We were in town for a wedding that would end much later, making this completely impractical. This restriction was never made clear before our arrival.

Given all of these issues, we kindly asked to be refunded so we could comfortably stay elsewhere, but the hotel refused. We ultimately chose to leave anyway and accept the financial penalty because staying simply wasn’t an option.

I understand that older hotels may not have air conditioning, but that information should be made unmistakably clear—especially during a heat wave. At least open a window before our arrival and let in some fresh air! It would have been nice to receive some sort of communication in advance to prepare us for our stay (there was none - not even a “your stay is coming up” type email). Transparency would have allowed us to book somewhere else.

Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve ever had.

A great location spoilt by poor accommodation and circumstance.
Pros:

The location could have been perfect. The town has a variety of good restaurants, bars and shops. The Castle, with its grounds and garden is a great tourist attraction. the river and it's walks are delightful. However!

Cons:

It is an awful pity that on the Sunday night we stayed, was the night of the towns Rock Music Festival, which NOBODY informed us of. The extremely heavy rock beats played, non-stop until 0130hrs, then from 0145 until about 0300hrs the crew arrived to dismantle the scaffolding and stages and throwing the metalwork into the trucks and vans. We finally managed a couple of hours sleep until the road cleaning crew turned up with their motorised brushes at 0530 to clean up the mess left by the Festival. Not a good experience.
The allocated room in the hotel was quite small, but the bed was very comfortable. The shower was over the bath, although the room desciptions showed separate showers. As my wife and I are aging we found it impossible to access the shower over the bath.

One night in good location
Pros:

Helpful staff. Location. Secure parking.

Cons:

Heat no fault of hotel. Hotel did not have air conditioning but made ever effort to prevent sun entering room. We were there in heatwave high 30 degrees.

Accueil très positif avec une grande disponibilité du personnel
Equipe très souriante et à l'écoute
Garage sécurisé de l'Hôtel à disposition pour stationner les vélos
Commerces et restaurants à quelques centaines de mètres

A convenient stopover during our holiday.
Pros:

Excellent, central location. Very friendly and efficient staff. Warm welcome by Reception (Marine). Parking space.

Cons:

One of our rooms seemed a little small. We did stay in the middle of an exceptional heatwave, so we were sorry not to have air conditioning.
