hotal is good but when we were there its swimming pool was out of order and was not ready till our stay of 5 nights, also Hotel is far away from city area so not comfort for exploring city. hotel staff is operative and good service.

The hotel is a bit far from center of city, to go anywhere, a taxi is a must. You may save a few dollars by staying here, but taxi fares will eliminate this option. We chose it deliberately to have some quiet time and it allowed pet, it is the bonus point for this place. There are not many decent restaurants unless you want to dine along the major traffic flow on Pham van Dong. The breakfast included are not adequately served to fill your breakfast need, since they offered each guest only one order and that is it, if you are used to buffet style breakfast like most hotels in the city offered, you are in for a disappointment. Staff is ok. Maintenance and upkeep are main issues with most hotels in VN, Hoa Phát is not the exception. For a short stay and to be close to the edge of the city to get out, it is ok.

I loved this hotel. It was far enough out of central city to be less touristy but close enough a short ride to get to town. Clean hotel, very friendly staff. Very big rooms. An absolutely must stay.

To far to central Saigon

Nice friendly hotel , main drawback 35 min bus ride to city cnt . Pool a big bonus to relax from the heat, breakfast a little limited ,only coffee or fruit juice not both, staff keen to help you find your way .Good value for money if you don't mind the journey to see the sights

Thu Duc is a really local experience. If you want to be near Beh Thanh market this place is not for you

But if you want to experience the real Ho Chi Minh City you will love it. Thu Duc center is a lively young place in the evening.

There is a mini adventure if you are up for it ... turn left out the hotel follow the small road around until you reach a dog behind a gate next to a ditch. Scramble up the banking (easy if dry) to your left.

Follow along until you find a paved river walk. Go to the end and there is a small ferry. Get on it (pay 5k return at other side).

There is a natural park gardens type thing on the right as you get off. Lovely place.

Return on the ferry (or you can get a small local bus to Ben Thanh)

Walk up the road and a lady on the left side has freshly squeezed orange juice ( ask for khong duong for no sugar)

Carry on and as you bear left there is a good Pho or noodle shop. 35k.

Carry on to arrive back at the hotel on the right.

Fun.

was ok, too far from city centre, pool very poor, breakfast was ok and room too

Location very far from city center. Money spent on taxi rides each day is already equivalent to additional night ($20). Not to mention the travel time. Though already included on the package, hotel still wanted to charge $9 for a one-way airport transfer. Had to explain (at length) what inclusive of airport transfers mean on the package. Manager eventually relented and booked us an Uber promising to correct their info on inclusions on booking sites.

What's going well for this hotel? Spacious room, balcony, tub, cabinets, big fridge, kitchen, nice staff, strong wifi.

What's not: Poor location, far from center and hard to access from the highway because of the center barrier. Cleanliness (found a small dead roach in our room), slippers provided were itchy. I did not see the pool. Was given incorrect info on tours offered (which they apologized for).

Only book this hotel if you don't mind the location and you want peace and quiet. Staff are pleasant.

The staff is really nice. Great place for a long stay. Overall, the stay was decent and would probably prefer a little more accommodation. This place can use a little bathroom upgrade and I would stay over and over again in a heartbeat.

No complaints, great stay

It's 20 minutes away from the busy city and it's quiet and refreshing from you're daily busy schedule. The staff are very accommodating and proactive. You don't have to repeat you're request.

First impressions are important and it says on expedia which we booked through free airport pick up but we were emailed a charge for the service and when questioned it got no reply. So on arrival we had no pick up at the airport.

The service otherwise was good adequate breakfast friendly staff and large room. The pool was very useful for adjusting to the heat, quite big and good for children and adults. WiFi in all areas was very good also.

The hotel was off main rd not easy to find at first. The location is about 30-35 by taxi from Saigon city. I prefered this hotel as it was quiet & accesable.The hotel staff were very friendly exceptionly helpful made my stay a lot pleasant.rooms were large plenty of space for the money. However could do with a bit of makeover asswell as pool didn't look clean. Overall I would stay here again thank you to all staff at hoaphat.

Enjoyed the time at the hotel ,a little ruff around the edges ,staff was helpful and tried to help with your needs ,40 cent bus ride into Siagon City. A lot of food places just a short stroll out the door,also fruit stalls and breakfast was a mix of Western and Viet food which was a good standard. The pool was good for break and we found it clean to use but could use a few toys .

really enjoyed the size of the apartments although the location was not great

We booked two rooms for our group of 6. Rooms are big and cleaning standards much better than some other Asian countries. Pool is highly dosed with chlorine which bleaches clothes. Breakfast varies from something cooked fresh to cold rice, noodles and eggs to choose from. Don't bother with the evening meals that they offer.
Staff are friendly and helpful. It did take a bit of convincing that I would not let them hold our passports and they settled for copies of them.
An unspeakable find on top of the cupboard in the bedroom but that is a reflection of feral guests more so than cleaners who would not think they needed to clean there.
They do help with transport.

All in all I think for the price, you can't expect much more.

This place was so so much better then our previous one in Ho chi Minh.. Was super impressed that we had so much space for the 3 of us... we even had a basic kitchen.. I enjoyed cooking of in the pool. The staff were so friendly and helpful, my daughter was unwell and they found a good hospital for us to go too, rang taxi and made sure they knew where to take us... room service was everyday, was basic.. as other reviews have said cleanliness isnt one of there top things... more to do with dusting and general cleaning like that..
I think it has huge potential to be really good, lovely building.
